Lots of 'Parker to Richmond' rumours floating around today...all from incredibly reliable sources of course:
SEN, Twitter, BigFooty etc.
The sooner he re-signs the better.Twitter @cmdil

I'm sure he will re-sign in due time - but he is one guy I would be devastated to see leave the club at any time. I want him to retire a Swan, as if he does, I have no doubt he will be by that time a great of our club.
The rumours are probably made up dribble, but still, I'd like this sorted out sooner rather than later - with a big long contract like Hanners too please.

Such a strategy would be a huge risk, given the massive raps on Mills. Would be insane in my book. Its not like its a case of we know there are 10 more players coming through the academy that are just as good. We are being spoilt at the moment with Heeney last year and Mills this year - but such a trend is unlikely to continue (and if it does, I'm sure we will soon loose our priority access anyway given the track record of the VFL.) . Make hay while the sun shines if you ask me, even if we pay a little bit overs. The best thing that could happen to us is not to get a ruckman. It will force us to play a better brand of football.
Jetta should let his wife go home. He can stay another 2 years then go where he wants as a free agent .
There is no point in matching a top 8 bid for Mills. We just get him for one first rounder in a year or two. Isn't that what everyone does these days. Why play this silly Eddie McGuire bidding game."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

I see this as our number one priority, get him on a Hanners like contract and do it soon. If we can save a bit and pre-load his sign on fee all the better.
And make him Captain next year whilst they are at it.
He seems like a very local bloke so I expect this to be done before the start of season 2016, if not then I'll be getting nervous but it's too soon to start worrying nowComment

I'd be concerned with going in to the season with a first choice combo of N&N- GWS post Mummy going down for the season this year ran with a rotation of young guys trying to take first ruck duties and they really struggled. Are we? I thought a lot of the RWO Ressie watchers were rapped with Naismith's possibilities and it has only been injuries that have held him back. A strong pre-season and he be the equal of a Sinclair.
Not getting a ruckman and having to play Nankervis/Naismith could be good as it would show our other Magoos that if you do put in the hard yards you will get time in the Seniors.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

At the very least we need a journeyman who can do a job for a year or two, not take up too much cap space and be a good clubman.
Tommy D's contract extension is starting to look a bit silly innit?Comment

Tom Harley thinks Luke Parker is the next captain Kirky thinks its Dan Hannebery, Parker only joined the leadership group this year so too soon. He'll be made captain after next year or the year after when McVeigh retiresComment

Might just be me, but I think Parker is fairly over rated - not as critical as Kennedy or Hanners.
If we had to cut someone loose for trade currency he'd be my pick.
Not that I want him gone by any means, just think the Melbourne mafioso over value his contributions. He ate more cheese, than time allowedComment

Have to disagree Industrial. Love Parker's intensity, great overhead, got a great engine, good strength, is a good decision-maker under pressure and can kick a goal. The man-child stays and becomes a fitting captain under Kirk's midfield direction.Might just be me, but I think Parker is fairly over rated - not as critical as Kennedy or Hanners.

Kevin Bartlett's wishful thinking. He also said Dangerfield was going to Wretchmond.....in his dreams maybe.Comment

Seriously he's a midfielder who averages over 25 disposals can with contested ball take a mark and kick 25 goals a season he's invaluableMight just be me, but I think Parker is fairly over rated - not as critical as Kennedy or Hanners.
