Carlton won't pick Mills they need to sell to their member they got the best player and not their second choice like Kenner said.
Brisbane will take Schache they need a key forward they have good academy players coming through so they won't bid on him.
Gold Coast may bid on him but may not considering its pick 3 they want to be able to say they got the third best player.
Essendon definitely won't bid on him because its the first time they are back in the draft for a long time.
He'll likely go pick 5 when St Kilda bid on him if they still hold pick 5 or who ever hold 5 then.Comment

Working on the basis that it was a Freudian slip, who is Geoff?Swans seek ruck options - sydneyswans.com.au
Kinnear confirming we are definitely after a ruck man
we rate Josh Dunkley highly - Kenner accidentally called him Jeff
We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!Comment

It would be a tough call - I agree it sends a poor message if we don't draft the academy kids who are any good.
He isn't regarded as a #1 Pick by any of the experts so I would regard Carlton drafting him as a phantom pick and I don't think the club is in any position to tolerate phantom picks.Comment

Which makes the scenario of playing hardball with WC all the more effective....Not that I'm advocating it mind you....
Just posing the fact that the Swans do have some hand, and some options, other than just bending over to WC....Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

The interesting thing is that the further into the draft we get the less likely it will be that Mills will be named as a legitimate rival club selection as he becomes cheaper and cheaper for the Swans and therefore clubs will be even more sure they will be gazzumped.(sp?)Carlton won't pick Mills they need to sell to their member they got the best player and not their second choice like Kenner said.

You could be correct 707. Just read that the Eagles gave up their first rounder for Redden. Wantaway Lion Redden becomes an Eagle - AFL.com.au The only thing which may suffice now is a straight swap: Jetta for a ruck man.Comment

And mail is Fremantle will give their first round pick this year and next year for McCarthy from GWS. But why should we take second best. If we can't get a decent trade then he stays with us or goes into the draft. Just heard Freo are after Bennell from Gold Coast, so Jetta is way down their shopping list. Gold Coast want a first round pick, which really throws a curve ball at Freo. You could be correct 707. Just read that the Eagles gave up their first rounder for Redden. Trade period going badly, can't attract FA Leuenberger, WC say no to a swap of Sinclair for Jetta, now all we need is for Hawthorn to suddenly land a quality player again :-(
Hoping for some better news but sorry, already getting prepared for the worse.Comment

i wonder if WC are releasing a player from their club to another club besides the swans and then give that pick to the Swans ?"be tough, only when it gets tough"
