We are in desperate need of a ruckman, especially with the question mark over Pykey. I hope if they cannot secure Sinclair that they also have Lycett on their radar as part of the Jetta Deal.

The best thing that could happen to us is not to get a ruckman. It will force us to play a better brand of football.
Jetta should let his wife go home. He can stay another 2 years then go where he wants as a free agent .
There is no point in matching a top 8 bid for Mills. We just get him for one first rounder in a year or two. Isn't that what everyone does these days. Why play this silly Eddie McGuire bidding game.

Haha that is so logical it's almost sad. Who could be our next "go home" opportunist? Tony Armstrong?..

Are we? I thought a lot of the RWO Ressie watchers were rapped with Naismith's possibilities and it has only been injuries that have held him back. A strong pre-season and he be the equal of a Sinclair.
Not getting a ruckman and having to play Nankervis/Naismith could be good as it would show our other Magoos that if you do put in the hard yards you will get time in the Seniors.

Yes just like Lenny Hayes came back after a couple of years in Vic.....

Mills will be our priority this year - we will match whatever is bid.

That was a different era. Things have changed. The draft is a joke now. Almost as laughable as a contract.

How about trading pick 14 (1161) to Gold Coast for picks 19 (948) and 22 (845) with a set of Steak Knives, (Robbo) or deluxe set (Bird)?

AJ's manager was just on trade radio and mentioned that Alex will be having another bout of surgery soon and that he expects Sydney to retain him on their list for 2016.

That is great news. I hope that the surgery will be a success and that he plays with us again.

If we really need a ruckman, who not go for Jonathan Giles who can give a couple of years service whilst Naismith and Nankervis develop their game. He should be a cheap option and is a decent ruckman. 4th round pick perhaps?
Swap Jetta out for the Eagles second rounder and their Selwood compensation pick. These picks plus our first and second rounders will give us enough points for Mills at least and maybe Dunkley if the club wants him.
Try to get hold of Talia from the Bulldogs for a 3rd round pick.

I like this plan, if Pyke retires we'll need cover

And we may even have enough points left for an additional pick in the 40s for a young defender

How about, instead of their 2nd round pick, we take their 1st round pick from next year when the draft is said to be deeper?

Word here in Perth is that WC have always been difficult to deal with at trade time, offering little and asking too much. And then they bleat when the rules don't favour them.

Don't think Brisbane would agree with the above...Redden for a 1st rounder??...That's a big win for Brisbane.

Hope WC retain this kind of trading form.

If we take anything less than their second rounder plus Selwoood Compo I'd be amazed.

If there is one club we should play hardball it is with those parochial bellends - think 2006 drug assisted Grand Final and the way Goodesy was treated.

Let Jetta go to the PSD for all I care, I'd be amazed if Melbourne or St Kilda wouldn't jump at the chance of picking him up before the Weagles.

Worst case scenario, we draft Mills and Dunks and grow the list organically
