Hows this for our best back six.

    jones, grundy, allir
    Smith, talia, rampe

Plenty of pressure coming marsh, laidler and possibly AJ.
Lloyd plays as a defensive wing.

The best back six in the League just got even better!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

This is my guess as well, with Nic Newman on the bench and the 7th defender. I see Jones pushing into the midfiled.

Can't get with the hype on Talia. Hasn't shown anything yet. No way I will have him in my starting 22 in 2017.

              Unbelievable he's played 98 games.
If he is extremely lucky he will play 300, but more likely 250 in his career.
So considering he is pretty much half way through his career, I'd say he should have shown a little more than he has.
TBH though, I'd say that the Swans have had a big say in his lack of performance playing him out of position.

Re Talia: Aside from his dabble in the Ben Cousins lifestyle, he's played one game.
I'd like to see some clauses introduced into contracts regarding payments etc
Placing Talia in out best 22 is about as realistic as putting AJ in after 4 years of no football.
I hope he still has some game left, but there are no guarantees...

He was in our starting 22 this year, but got injured. It seems like he will be fit for the beginning of training, so why not in our starting 22 for next year? He looks to be the best replacement we have after Reg retires.

We haven't seen much of talia so it s a bit of a guess. But 2016 preseason he did look like teds replacement.

                        I agree on all counts.

Going on recent form (Talia and AJ have none), my guess for our starting back six next year would be ......

                        FB: Smith Grundy Rampe

                        HB: Jones Aliir Laidler

Next in line.....Marsh, Newman, Talia (if he has a good pre season)

If we draft Logue, he sounds ready made and could also slot in to take a third forward, if we have any injuries.

What to do with McVeigh is a question that needs addressing.

For me McVeigh replaces McGlynn as a crumbing forward.
Not sure he is sustainable where he is.
Injuries will probably define his role more than anything.

I've never joined in the McVeigh bashing here but I think he will be genuinely fighting for his spot next year. Horse has shown himself to be ruthless in the past and I have no doubt he'll call curtains early if required. I think he will get the five games for his 300 and he'll be given a chance to play the small forward role, he's still got good footy smarts. I'd rate him 50-50 as seeing the season out in the seniors

Michael has been in Europe for a while. I think Michael's problem is that he's not very bright and is likely to get himself in trouble. He also has a serious grammar problem. He should have gone to Europe with his girlfriend, Nicola Burgess. He needs minding.

Below are some comments from his Instagram account. I don't know why Michael does social media. I noticed Jono O'Rourke is among his comments.

marijanaswans is a friend of Dan Hannebery. Funny name marijanaswans!

His best friends on the Swans are Tom Mitchell, Cal Sinclair and Harry Cunningham (this one doesn't fit). TM will hook up Jono O'Rourke now that they are at Hawthorn together. Good move for Tom. No one gets punished at Hawthorn.

Instead of suspending Michael, the club should have forced him to spend the next year boarding with the McVeighs. That should suck the life out of him.
