One thing that stood out to me today was when the Swans ran on to the ground - there seemed to be some midgets running out. McGlynn, Papley, Jack, & even Heeney all seemed to be under-sized in comparison to the Giants.
I think this may be a factor in rough & tough finals matches.

We had 8 more possessions and 7 more contested possessions. We were put under a lot of pressure deep in our backline so we had difficulty getting it quickly and cleanly out of the backline. GWS 96 tackles, Swans 64 says a lot. Tackles in fwd 50; us 10, GWS 17.

Just saw Mills thumping the ground with frustration of his injury. Didn't look like the reaction of a 1-2 week injury. Looks high up. Poor kid.

If GW$ could kick straight we'd have been thoroughly destroyed.

The commentators praise of the "building" such a great team - well FFS, any team could build a side with the number of ****ing 1st rounders, extended list etc they've enjoyed.

            Their song sucks.
Mitchell handballs a lot because he is a slow runner. Mills must immediately go into the midfield in 2017. Hanners worked hard but many times was caught on his wrong foot. Ward was also holding onto him at stoppages. The umpires these days just seem to turn a blind eye to this, and not just in our games. The thing about GWS was they had enough players to tag our game makers and nullify their effectiveness.

2005 we lost in the first round of the finals & it all turned out ok.

              2015 Hawks did the same.

But I'm worried about the injuries (JPK, Tippett & Mills). JPK & Tippett didn't look great but probably needed to stay on if able, to remain competitive. Mills, even a lowgrade strain would probably need a little rest. Concussion to Tippett would be a concern given his history.

                  Things that hurt us

                  1. The bloody Bye honestly it has to go, we've never been good after the bye

                  2. Stevie J taking out JPK

                  3. Mummy on three seperate occasion sling tackled players causing their head to hit the turf hard Tippett one being the main

                  4. Umpires swing the game the Heeney non mark call and the Camerson goal from the most BS holding the ball call, first it was a holding free for Rampe then it was tackling without the ball then it was in the back but none of them were called.

                  5. ANZ, this is what happens when you put a team on a ground where they haven't played on all year with 7? of 22 players never playing there before. AFL knew what it was doing

                  Change for next week

In: Jones, honestly never thought i'd say this Towers should maybe come in for McGlynn
                  Out: McGlynn(shocking today), Mills

                    yeah i agree...
3-4 goals from either bad desicions from the umps and their run...
OUr forwrad defensive pressure was way off than normal...

regardless of footage and doesnt matter whether he came back on or not there contact to the head and he was way off after the hit..the amoutn of handball receives he either missed or dropped was telling and was only until the last he got some rhythm into his game....

too many guys disappearred today...i think the run to the GF might suit us better than another week off to be honest...05 and 12 we didnt go straight to the prelim....06 and 14 we did...

hamstrings are very rarely 1-2 weeks. At least with have Zac Jones in the seconds ready to come back. Maybe clutching at straws, but we never play well after a break, but usually play quite well the 2nd week after the break. Hoping the same happens again, but it will need some improvement.

still have not learned to kick to a swans player, the # of times again today we missed targets was disgusting it has been happening for a number of years. Just watch the Giants will play the pf at spotless stuuf what their opponent says be interesting if it is hawks, with x pres on afl commission. the umpires again missed a lot its not the free they give its the ones they miss and most of them are ours,

This is a direct result of richnond. They were so poor it made bad players look good and the selectors feel for it.

The pea-hearted loser is such a liability. We already have a small forward in Papley. McGlynn just creates a problem for the rest of the team. Hope we bring in either Towers or Cunningham and drop McGlynn hard.

Given the Giants ability to get acres, you'd think Longmire would have gone with Cunningham or Towers. It baffled me with the space GWS kept creating for themselves. You'd think the swans would be onto it.

Hopefully this guilt and sentiment towards McGlynn finally ends and he never plays another game in the red and white.

Boo hoo. He missed the 2012 Grand Final and cried. I doubt we could have even won it with him in the side.
Harry Cunningham would have been unsighted today. Way too hard for him. Towers is a better bet than McGlynn.

Who is 'he' - Kennedy? If so I agree. He was targeted for a reason. I expected Hannebery to be the target but Kennedy makes just as much sense (from GWS point of view).
