I watched the Doggies vs GWS last week and have to agree with the folks on here. Neither team got a good start and both took a while to settle. It was exciting towards the end because it was so close.
If the Swans can switch on as well as the semi and the prelim we will get ahead quickly and the doggies will have to play catch-up.

The Swans big starts haven't gone unnoticed. The dogs will try to emulate this I would think.

Agreed, Laidler is in our best 22 as far as I'm concerned. That aside, I hope Mills really is over his hamstring strain, I won't be a happy camper if he goes down early.

Don't be surprised to see Sam Reid come into the calculations. My mail is that he has been training the house down, will be in the 25 and might be a sneaky chance of coming in.

That would be astounding. Who knows what will happen. It certainly would set the dogs barking

Would be a massive curveball - could potentially put the Dogs on the back foot at the start, kinda like when we started Ted forward against Geelong

I thought I must have missed something from the media reports of the brilliant Dogs game so I went back and had a look at both them and us last night. We were clinical and near perfect in the first quarter last week. The Dogs and GWS were all over the place - and neither was defending well against the other so it was just turnover after turnover. It was an exciting game by the Dogs but it wasn't a good game - both teams seemed to have a lot of nerves and made a lot of errors. If both teams play as they did last week we will win.
Bambi will be killed off in spectacular fashion this weekend ,yes they are riding emotion but last weekend was their grand final ...swans were all business ..media reports clinging to the hope of their lucky 4 pt win after the siren in round whatever- despite the fact we had 6 more scoring shots ..I think the bubble is about to burst ..swans by 49 pts

                    I would be MASSIVELY surprised.
And I'd be very pissed off as well.
No way should he come back in.

Three questions: ONE - who would go out, surely a forward, X? Hewett? TWO - what would be his role? The questions hould be the other way round I guess. Wondered if they'd bring him in to play an attacking tagging role on Bontempelli or something leftfield like that? THREE - why???

I've been ok all week until I came on here today. I am suddenly really nervous. Don't like this feeling!

Are the swans flying in today or tomorrow morning?

I'm certain we will win this fairly easily. They'll stay reasonably close for the first half but in the third quarter the dam will break, we will kick six unanswered goals and by halfway through the last quarter there will be 20,000 empty seats at the MCG as their fans head home. Sentimental stories about the Bont touching someone's grandmother's scarf that she knitted in 1954 won't really stop our midfield from running amok.
