I find it hard to believe that we gave away pick 70 in the Murray deal if we are going to take four picks. Only logical answer to AJ delisting is that we will take a DFA or upgrade a rookie. Can not see any DFA that would replace a player in our best 22 or any need to upgrade a rookie as Cat A rookies can be selected. Only conclusion is that O'Riordan is going from cat B to primary list. Alternative answer is Fox is being upgraded. Do not see the need for either as O'Riordan could be upgraded to Cat A and be available for selection and Fox was already available for selection. Both had injury affected year and in my view neither are yet ready for primary list.

If he can get back to where he was, probably Grundy in 1-2 years or Melican or Allir. It was some time ago, but he was a pretty good player. The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment

It would be a real shame for him to get dropped now after finally being able to get on the park. I'm also surprised that he's being moved to the rookie list now when he wasn't last year. They even gave him the no.2 jumper.
The sad fact is that the chances of him getting back to good form is highly unlikely. Maybe the club realises this.

Admitting you like Trump is like admitting you are an atheist 20 years ago.
Shunned and shamed for having a different opinion.
I'm not a fan, but it annoys me that those who are, are ridiculed for being so.
If you ask me, Daniel Andrews is far more incompetent and destructive than Trump.
Back on topic, it was always unlikely that AJ would run out with the seniors after so many years not playing.
Injuries seem the only was he'll get a run.
Regardless of what happens from here, the Swans have acted immaculately in their support of him. Over and above. The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment

I remember after the 2012 GF being so excited at 'this kids' potential after his flawless display in that game, believing we had a future champion that would be a stalwart of our backline for years to come......when he did his knee the first time, I thought, 'bummer' but he'll be back next year........gee, it's been a disaster for him and the club. He has already been robbed of a glorious career but to not make it back all to senior level would be a tragedy. I fear he may not.....and while it would make his future viewing of that great day in 2012 bittersweet indeed, he will treasure it even more. The best of luck to him!Comment

Pretty good piece on Jack Higgins today. Thoughts on a small forward with potential to move into mids?

A more apposite comparison with Trump supporters is that with creationists. Not just 20 years ago. Ever.
FWIW, I'm optimistic AJ can get back slowly, through the rookie list pathway. Another year in the ressies maybe.Comment
