This is all purely idle speculation but if we did get their second rounder (23) I wonder if we could bundle it with our second rounder to get another first round pick. Brisbane might be open to trading their first rounder from Port if it means generating some second round picks for both a bid for Cameron (think Pick 23 would get that job done) with our second rounder adding some points that they'll need for Ballenden from their academy.
It will be really interesting to see how the Lions play the trade period. If I was a Lions fan I'd be really excited about them right now, crazy given their ladder position but they have done a great job the last 12 months. I would not be surprised to see them trade pick 1 to St Kilda for picks 7, 8 and a bit of change. It's just so risky for an interstate club like them to put all their eggs in one basket. A dude (and he looks like a right Dude) like Rayner carries so much less risk for a St Kilda than Brisbane and the Sainters need a quality draftee after choosing McCartin over Petracca (what were they thinking) and Billings of the Bont in recent yearsComment

Others to watch from this future draft are Josh Rayner, plays club footy with Jacko Barling. Quire a bit taller than Jacko and has a smooth kicking action.
The other stand out from NSW is Delahunty, from the Wagga area, unfortunately tied to GWS but this kid will be a key forward star.Comment

Aliir's name was mentioned that he could be traded on radio so everyone discussed if he was let go what he would be worth. He's had a good first season but he's not the second coming of David Dench. Everyone is tradable at the right price. No1's trolling you ????Comment

They'll trade to get picks before where they think Ballenden will go. The st Kilda one is a possibility. The hard one with this draft is that there's no massive standout. If we could I agree I'd prefer to bundle the 2 together n move up as I believe it's a shallow draft. If they could get even a 2nd for next year I'd take it with a big smile on my face.
Picks 1 to 6 are all gold, but no real stand out, so you get a great pick in that range.
Would rather save our picks and roll the dice on a couple of players, than do a Florent.
Yes he will be a good player, but that a big risk, better to go for two or three players than one.doof-doofComment

Its a very shallow draft, so unless so can get a pick from 1 to 6, not really worth the effort.

If Florent came anything close to becoming the player that Hannebery has been, we'll be cartwheeling down Driver Avenue. He's not had his best season in 2017 but he's already a three time All-Australian and is still in his mid-20s.
I actually think Florent could become a McVeigh type player once he gets a bit of core body strength and adjusts to the pace of senior footy. And I'm referring to McVeigh when he was a midfielder, not the defence-marshalling player he's morphed into in his later years. I think Florent can work his way through traffic, see options quickly and reliably deliver by foot. Or at least, I think he has the raw materials to develop those traits in time. He's probably tried to deliver more than he was physically capable of during his early senior games but I think he'll soon be able to execute better on what he tries to do, and will get a better feel for what is and isn't possible amidst the pressure of AFL midfield play.Comment

I don't think I'd ever again (or ever?) wear shorts quite that short (not at my age and certainly not with my thighs) but otherwise, not bad. The colours are right at least.
I actually used to be pretty good at cartwheels as a young girl but I think I might pull something very painful if I tried to do one now!Comment

Let me correct that for you "plus there's pick 18 & 36".Comment
