The only team I don't want to meet in the run in is Richmond.

Gws look tired, Cats we'll take care of, Adelaide are pretty up and down.

If Tigers get a head of steam up they'll be difficult to bring down. Nobody seems to rate them for the flag but it will be either rocks or diamonds again with them imo.

Due to low number of Melbourne games this finals series, there won't be any skilled stadium games, so Geelong at the MCG is easier. Facing Richmond on a straight set exit would be very hard and they will be official fairytales.

Best bet is Geelong 2nd week I think.

Two MASSIVE finals first week. Is v dons and cats v tigers.

I feel sorry for Demons supporters. After all they've had to put up with, now this. It should leave a very bitter taste in the mouths of all the playing group.

Agreed. I think we can beat every team but Richmond fairytale at the MCG will be the toughest

It will motivate them for next year.

Does this mean melbourne based supporters without foxtel will need to watch on our ipads? :-(

Happy with that. It means I can get the bus up and back on the same day. Also, twilight is a nice time to play at the SCG.

                    Full fixture.

I think the two-week wait might kill me.

The rest is great for the players (although we might need it less than Essendon). I am just hoping the boys can pull off the miracle that is this season. So many stories are yet to be told, but it would be so fantastic if we could hold that cup up once again.

I've got a couple of young kids (who won't be joining me). I feel bad enough leaving my partner to parent alone through most of Saturday.

Thinking it will be a Swans v Geelong grand final... but I'll admit I'm most concerned about our potential match against the Tigers

The AFL know about it. Hayden Kennedy mentioned it on an episode of whistleblowers. The hard thing is knowing what to do about it. Umpires are coached to ignore it and do their best, but it operates at a subconcious level. I think most umpires would be surprised at the end of the game to hear that they had blown more for the home team.

Most of the proposals are impractical; umpires in earmufffs, decisions being made by someone on TV with no audio feed etc.

But first we have to get past Essendon. It won't be easy.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
