Feel sick. Again. Terrible luck with two important players late withdrawals.

But we were poor. Bad loss. Kennedy's game at the lower end of the 200. Feeling that quad? Hannebery not a factor. Rampe beaten. Heeney uncharacteristically ruffled. Buddy off. Sinclair more familiar. Naismith well beaten. Newman is really struggling. Delivered poorly all night. That Towers conceded 50 was important and typically daft and reckon Longmire's look said a lot.

Annoyed at the safe emergencies. Would prefer game-breaking Aliir and Dawson. Why bother with Foote, who is one-paced and a poor kick. Seriously. Robbo is serviceable at best.

A lot of dumb kicking options, poor turnovers. They ran harder, were smarter. Sigh. Again.

Parker tried hard. Papley was very good. Mills was ok. Jones had some good touches, but needs to be more involved. That's about it, right?

Maybe next year we won't have to play the Hawks twice, for once! Nah...who am I kidding?

My mind still keeps drifting back to that goal where Rampe comes in over the top and drops the mark and Melican just fails to get a hand to it before it goes over the line. That just doesn't happen in games against the other 16 teams.

You'd be hard picked to identify a Swan who had a good game tonight, Kennedy was hampered and probably Naismith too, plus we lost two players on the eve of the game. We then lost by just a goal. Yes, it's irritating. Yes, I loathe Hawthorn with everything I have. But I don't think one can put this all on Longmire's shoulders.

Hawthorn are really good at what they do. It's hard to coach against, and you need a lot of things to go right. In particular, we struggle against them because we're not generally a big contested marking side, and the Hawthorn style is very effective in taking away what we do well.

Mounted a decent effort after the Hawks/umpires were up by 3 goals at the half. For those who are feeling the doom and gloom, ask yourself how you would feel when the Swans were 0-6, for them to be 10-8 right now? A strong effort against Geelong and all will be right with the world again.
Oh, and our old Sinclair is back again!!!
And to further look on the bright side, last time we lost, we then went on to win seven in a row. Doing that again would be very handy.

We had a lot of players down. Looks like the sustained effort to get our season back on track has taken it's toll. He makes a blunder every now and then but geez I love Tom Papley. I hope big Sammy and JPK pull up OK.

When 1 coach beats you nearly every time. The coach is better. Beveridge beat us. Even Bolton beat us.

Clarkson has teached each one of his assistants to beat the Swans. Fagan will beat us within 2 years.

They are facts not opinions except Fagan comment.

The way Franklin and McVeigh were smiling broadly as they walked to the presentation area makes me think..as I have many times before....WE hurt emotionally more than they do...

Will Hayward - good potential for the future but right now, he's trapped in a boys body playing amongst grown men. Sydney's win to loss ratio is lopsided towards losses every time Hayward plays.

I hate that Longmire is always beaten tactically by Clarkson every single time (Buckley beat Clarkson for crying out loud), but calls for sacking him are ridiculous. Best to just let him coach and pass on the coaching reins at the appropriate point in time and make a steady transition. Extreme changes almost never end well, except for when you have a once in a lifetime coach like Roos.

I think this would be a very good idea.
