really hold a regular place even though half their team was injured. Is he as good as Nic Newman? Maybe....Comment

Lets face it people, we are once again going to get fleeced during another trade week... hell we might as well have another trade ban as it would at least stop us from all the ridiculous movements we'll likely to do in the coming week and a half.
We are not getting anything other than 'steak knives' people so forget Shiel or any other high profile player the media has dreamed up...
We are going to trade out players like Hannas and Rohan who are contracted for basically next to nothing because that's just what we do... two players who 1. Was an all Australian (admittedly 3 seasons ago) and 2. a former high first round pick who didn't live up to potential through injuries or whatever else but still has that X factor. And we'll likely pay some of their salaries too!
Hell I honestly hope we trade our first round pick or something like that to say Carlton for their future first rounder next year (which could help them land a McGovern perhaps)! At least it may give us something to look forward to next off season... but we'll likely sit tight on it and pair it up with our 2nd rounder to pay for an early bid on Blakey...
I'm predicting another boring mediocre Swans off season unfortunately...

Reading that North are after Finlayson for his kicking skills. Which I presume would be instead of Newman. So the whole Clark deal could be off or we’ll have to trade for him.Comment

And the winners are with FA and Trade Week are; the player agents.
We have a Royal Commission into the banking and finance industry where "churning" (reinvesting elsewhere) regularly, clients funds for a commission was common. Player agents move players like chess pieces and get a dividend every time. Just "churning players".
They play players off between clubs with rumours and when a club re signs a player they get another divi. They get a divi no matter where the player goes. They keep shoppin' them around.
Royal Commission into the AFL anyone?

They might be desperate to swap their 2019 first pick for our pick 12? Trouble is that they might do alright next year.Comment

Picks this year are worth more than next year. If WC want Kelly from Geelong they will have to find a low teens pick so reckon we could do our pick 13 for Gaff compo 19 & 37. Gives us Blakey and two picks in the mid 30s.
Talk on Fox about us now trading Hanners for a third rounder - sheesh!Comment

Finlayson is a 196cm interceptor, got injured I think then lost his place to the young Taylor? so not being recruited instead of Newman.Comment

I suspect hot air re finlayson troubling our deal remains Newman and Clarke
Clarke offered too much by swans for north to match
Newman good trade compensation for north"be tough, only when it gets tough"

GREATER Western Sydney defender Jeremy Finlayson is on the radar of North Melbourne as the Roos look to add another elite ball-user to their backline...
Finlayson's manager, Dave Trotter of Hemisphere Management Group, told AFL.com.au his client had met with North about a potential move to Arden Street, but said several other clubs had indicated their interest in the New South Welshman. "We have had an initial meeting with North Melbourne," Trotter said on Thursday. "Jeremy is just starting the process and there has been a bit of interest in him, which we will work through over the next week or so."
North is targeting Finlayson as it looks to bolster its kicking in defence, and is eyeing Sydney defender Nic Newman to the same end.Comment

Tom Morris on trade lowdown says the Saints are looking at getting pick 37 from West Coast for Hickey....Then it's Pick 37 + next years 2nd rounder for Hannebery...
That's more like it....Hope he's right.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

Also interesting hearing Tom Morris say a chance Tom Scully might also get offloaded for cap space by GWS towards the end of the trade period, depending what happens with Dylan Sheil.Comment
