Sam Reid for Darcy Moore - keep hearing Pies want Sam Reid but we need a FF Ruckman given we lost tippo
Hannes for a decent pick plus maybe paddy MCartin?
Blakey our first pick
Paddy McCartin wants to get out of Sydney and is considering becoming Our next Reg Grundy but we will give paddy a go in the forward line in 2019
If paddy has a change of scenery and fires with 40 goals for the season and tomkeeps playing the athletic tall and Buddy roams around for his 70 goals - well it looks dangerous and a tough match up for most teams
Paps, Paddy, Tom
Ronke, Buddy, Hayward

Caroline Wilson said that you can “take it to the bank” that Hanners will be with St Kilda next year. She doesn’t seem to make these claims lightly like other journos. It’ll be an interesting post season.Comment

Paddy McCartin was a dominant player in the under 18's in the years leading up to when he was drafted. For several years the TAC cup have played with a similar rule to the 6,6& 6 rule where the forwards have to basically stay in the forward line and it is a lot more open which makes it difficult to block the forwards from leading into space, this is a similar rule to the one the AFL are currently trialing.
When we played the Saints this year he took several marks on the lead and looked ok so maybe he might be worth the risk if the rules change to suit.
The health issues he has would make it a risky recruit. In a perfect world and everyone is fit Sam Reid would be well ahead of him.Comment

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

It would seem that Lloyd is staying since it was confirmed by both the Swans and the Suns. The Swans would be looking for pick 2 or 3, which I would think would be more than the Suns would be willing to give up. They really need a new rebuild from the ground up.
For what it's worth, everyone outside the Swans thinks Hanners will be a Saint next year. Maybe they're just guessing, but the consensus is overwhelming. They seem to know something. Also, the Saints have admitted they made an offer.
Given his consistency, age and results in the club B&F Lloyd is definitely worth one of those picks but GCS are in the box seat should he make it through to the pre-season draft. I suspect that we might end up getting unders for him, which is a shame because he's a great player, and overs for Hanners given he is under contract.Comment

No we wouldn't, because pick 4 would be before another club bids on him. If Carlton or GCS bid on him with their picks, 1 (priority), 2, 3 and possibly 4 we'd screwed but that isn't going to happen.Comment

I remember it as an ACL, but can't find anything on it. I have a distinct image in my head of him kicking an early goal and he looked on fire. Then crumpling to the turf a short time later.
The only excerpt I can find is an article that is a story about his brother that refers to ROK in that game being a "late inclusion in the elimination final against Hawthorn, in which he kicked a goal and soon afterwards seriously damaged his knee".
He returned in round 10 the next season, which would be a quick recovery from an ACL, so who knows at this point.C'mon Chels!Comment

I think that article confirms it wasn't an ACL, given the recovery time usually involved (and this was before LARS was an option). His delayed start to the 2002 season was, I think, due to him taking some time out after the death of his brother. The article certainly suggests his rehabilitation was close to complete by the end of the pre-season, when his brother's accident occurred.Bloods
