Could we maybe just agree that not a lot of us know a great deal about this guy , other than he’s still young (21) , was drafted second round ( # 31 I believe ) averaged 21 touches in his last 5 games this year and got 31 against the pies( GF favourites ). I knew nothing about JPK before we got him , and thought mcglynn was a dud. As for teddy Richards , well I think a lot of us thought him a dud even when he was on our list for years. Let’s wait and see on this , the rumour might be garbage anyway. We don’t have to call daddy Ludwig in to impart his holy wisdom in to settle the debate. Us kiddies can have a discussion

Josh Kennedy played the last 9 games for Hawthorn in 2009 and was very impressive. His power was already evident and he was being praised by the commentators. We really stole one there.
I can't say I know about Ryan Clarke. He played against us in both our games v North, so if we don't remember him, he probably wasn't all that impressive.Comment

I just read some of the dedicated North BF thread on him. An undistinguished use of my time. They were very excited when he arrived; the majority (60-40) are now happy for him to go (I skipped the 1,000 posts in the middle where it all went bad), although they think a straight swap with Newman might favour us.
Anyway, summary: he's got above average speed; he's an accumulator; disposal terrible by hand and foot (lacks penetration); poor decision-maker. Some observed that his performance/confidence had dropped since moved to defence.Comment

Some excellent points there! I remember Teddy Richards first 2 years and I thought, why are they persisting with him, he is a dud? I was wrong. Also remember a fanatic Hawks supporter who also thought JPK was no big loss to Hawthorn. The Swans track record speaks for itself.

Now we're talking...Ryan Clarke is a classic Swans type target/recruit. He's unheralded. He's no nonsense, unselfish, wins the footy, gets on with it. Really hope this rumour has legs.
The few times I've seen him play have been really good. Love the way he goes about it.
I get the feeling we can forget all the big names coming to the Swans. I reckon we'll be methodically adding a number of unheralded players to fill spots and play certain roles.
In the meantime accumulating some cap space for future trades..... I'm all for itWhenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment
