I thought we’d agreed we are getting Daniher, Gaff and Moore. Not sure we can afford Vandenberg

I see Barratt's at it again.....
If.......your trading-in has been top-notch over a number of years
Then.......the cut which already ran deep in the trading-out of Tom Mitchell is now a gaping wound.
Wow, let's all slash our wrists.....gee, Barratt's a tool. We got over Mitchell as soon as he left.....and we'll win a premiership before Hawthorn does (the ball's in Horse's court on that one though).

Well, our Hawthorn recruit has already helped us win a premiership.....we'll see if this years Brownlow winner gets to do that with Hawthorn. Do you really think him winning the Brownlow has Swans fans crying with regret.....I don't think so.
Remember the Brownlow is won by getting votes from those repositories of 'fairness', the umpires, who are as biased as the league that employs them. Christ, they couldn't even bring themselves to give Brisbane's Dayne Beams a single vote for 32 possessions and five goals in one game this year. It seems 30 tiny handballs and a few average kicks gets you the votes these days......Mitchell, for all his 'numbers' is way over rated. Buckley was right.....his possessions don't hurt.Comment

With Tom Mitchell, I ask myself the question, if he was available to come to the club now, would he make us better, would we want him? And the answer has to be YES.
The loss of Mitchell isn't a gaping wound, but with the falloff in our older midfielders - Jack, Hanners and Kennedy, we'd win more games if he was still in the side.Comment

Hindsight is a wonderful thing though, 2016, we all would have put Kennedy/Parker/Hannas/Mills/Heeney ahead of Mitchell, in fact today id only put Hannas behind him.Comment

There isn’t another slow midfielder playing with Tom at the hawks
He was offered the number one role inside mid at the hawks for a great dosh
We had kennedy hannes hewitt Heeney and maybe Mills - that is a lot of slow mids"be tough, only when it gets tough"

The irony of trading Mitchell cos he made us too slow yet he goes to a good coach and used correctly and no one speaks of the Hawks being slow

Could we maybe just agree that not a lot of us know a great deal about this guy , other than he’s still young (21) , was drafted second round ( # 31 I believe ) averaged 21 touches in his last 5 games this year and got 31 against the pies( GF favourites ). I knew nothing about JPK before we got him , and thought mcglynn was a dud. As for teddy Richards , well I think a lot of us thought him a dud even when he was on our list for years. Let’s wait and see on this , the rumour might be garbage anyway. We don’t have to call daddy Ludwig in to impart his holy wisdom in to settle the debate. Us kiddies can have a discussion

I thought the swans have been famous for recruiting players to attend to a role needed in the team"be tough, only when it gets tough"
