I am trying to figure out a way for the Pies to get May and I just cannot see how it can happen. May is probably worth pick 5-8.
Collingwood cant get a pick like that anyway i can see.

I agree Moore is holding out for money and it is a game of chicken at this stage. Pick 13 seems like overs for Moore imo.
Probably worth a pick in the 20s.

      Absolutely Overs.
Max late round 2 pick for Moore, if not early round 3 IMO

Has Moore been injury prone for his whole career or is it only this year?

          Gary Rohan.
Probably just trade him to Geelong for draft points for Blakey.
          Geelong have picks 47, 52, 55 & 56.

That would be an absolutely diabolical deal! We got a future second round pick for Murray and he didn't play a senior game in three years whereas Hanner's is 3xAA.

Yes, I'm not that keen on Moore. While he's bigger than I thought he was, at 203cm, looking at his stats, he averages around 9 possessions a game for his career. McCartin's already doing that, and McCartin seems to have a better football brain. As well, Moore only averages one tackle per game, so you're probably not going to get much forward pressure from him.
And if Reid and Naismith are fit next year, and Amartey develops, then there doesn't really seem to be place for him.
So I can't really see the point of giving up a high draft pick, for somebody who might spend a fair amount of time in the NEAFL.

Only this year but he was frequently injured in his junior years. The couple of years after being drafted he was reasonably fit.

The Trade Room are suggesting that Moore goes to the Swans in return for our first pick. Lets see if that happens.

                    I don't mind Moore.
But if we get him, how about we pay what he's worth, rather than just get a deal done.
I can live with a 2nd round pick, but any earlier than that and I'll be pissed.

Moore will take on Reids role when he is injured in round 1 nest year

That would be diabolically stupid! He's an injury risk who hasn't actually proven himself to be a gun. Shows potential to be really good but the negatives outweigh the positives to be recruited at all, let alone a 1st round pick. Potential list clogger considering like for like options already on our list. Stay away Swans!!

Moore has huge upside but is a massive injury risk. If the Swans are going to invest in him then they must believe his hamstring issues are manageable.

Yep, if an untried Murray is worth a future 2nd rounder, then Hannebery is worth a first rounder and a player...But that won't happen.

It's reported he'll be on a 4 or 5 year $800k contract, which means StKilda rate him as an elite midfielder, I'll be very unhappy if all we get for him is a future 2nd rounder.

Given StKilda are so keen to land him, and have made this public, they won't want this trade to fall over.

The Swans need to play hard on this deal.

Reported that Moore is off to Germany to get his hamstring issues fixed.

Never seen so many big name players "going home"

Much to play out and if past seasons are any indicator a heap of trades won't progress until the first big domino falls.

I disagree. I honestly believe that if he can get his body right and put some games together then he has the potential to not only be a good player but possibly be the best defender in the league! Josh Kennedy said pre grand final that he is extremely difficult to play against because he is so tall but extremely quick and can go with him on the lead.

It's certainly a risk worth taking because if it pays off we could possibly get one back after losing out big time with the Mitchell deal a few years ago.

Yeah I saw that to. They were focusing entirely on how May can get to Collingwood & our pick 12 for Moore would help them to satisfy Gold Coast along with their pick 18. They completely ignored whether Moore is worth a 1st round pick, especially considering he wasn't in Collingwood's best 26 for GF (not even named as an emergency). It is widely considered Collingwood would need to offload Moore if they are to fit May in their cap space, which doesn't put Pies in position to drive a hard bargain for him.

Damien Barrett revealed St Kilda have put a 6 year $8 million dollar offer in front of Shiel (worth $1.4m a season), but thinks Shiel will accept Hawthorn's offer (but he didn't stipulate what that is).
