To me it does feel like the Swans are going after someone bigger than Taylor Duryea or Ryan Clarke.
In the past we’ve tended to spend big $ on marquee forwards, so on that basis it makes sense. It also makes sense that we shoudn’t have been playing Xavier Richards / the youngest player in the comp as a key forward in the last 2-3 years.
But I really can’t imagine why Daniher would want to leave or why they’d want to let him go. And he’s contracted about as long as the MCG isn’t he?

Maybe there’s been a mix up over the Clarke brothers and we’ve been talking to Dylan Clarke?Comment

I think Ryan Clarke (north) is definitely a midfielder and handy but I’d be surprised if they let him go
He has played quite a bit for both the last two years and emerging

If it is dylan Clarke from the bombers then he is a real josh Kennedy style of project player and inside mid
Personally I hope it is both players as they would be exactly the project depth players we need at the right age and have had a few year development in other snr afl clubs
Ryan Clarke I think would be in our 22.......if newman can play midfield and so to Fox for the Swans well Ryan Clarke with 40 games is a shoe in.
Watch his games against Sydney , WC and the Saints as a good 3 to compare
Dylan Clarke slightly bigger build to Heeney but dylan is only 20 so will end up bigger then Heeney and a good inside mid prospect
Dylan re-signed for one more year only with the bombers for 2019

The left-field AFL trade targets nobody is talking about - but should be

Buy low. Pay nothing and save your dollars/picks for a start either this year or next. Our list I still bloody good even without any additions. We did just finish one game out of the top four with significant injuries to our talls all year. With a bit more luck injury wise, the development of our young players, and an addition here or there to improve our bottom six, we will be right in the mix again.Comment
