???? Statistically Speaking: Round 10 | NEWS | NEAFLSTAR PERFORMER
Sydney rookie Sam Wicks has had bigger and better performances each week, and Sunday’s clash against the GIANTS went up another level again. The 19-year-old starred with an impressive stat line, which included 40 disposals (19 contested), eight clearances, nine inside 50s, six rebound 50s and eight tackles. Wicks also had 11 unique score involvements – the equal highest of the round – as the Swans lost a close one by 25 points at Blacktown.Comment

Unusual to have the two highest vote getters in a defeat. Reckon Wicks got 4 and 3; Rowbottom 4 and 2.

Looks like a tick for our recruiters and development coaches. None of us were tipping Wicks to be the player drafted after watching the NEAFL last year but unsurprisingly the club had the best insights and seems to be vindicated in their choice. Credit to the coaches developing the players also, as always. All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)

With Pink, maybe it was the bump that he laid on Bonar, in the third quarter? It left him a bit sore and sorry. I thought that it was okay at the time, but I might be biased and I haven't seen it on replay.B: 51. R Barkley, 54. C Flanagan, 49. C Hirst

Jack to get 30 possessions and 4 goals v Canberra then straight back into seniors in place of one of our youngsters to add "experience" and not much else.Comment

Or Jack made a significant contribution as a mentor/onfield coach to the younger players, picked up 16 and 5 tackles. Cemented his spot in the NEAFL.Comment
