Quarter time Swans behind 2 1 13 to 3 3 21
They have a number of big bodies compared to our yippies but those small bodies are throwing themselves into it

Correction to toppies was interestingComment

Swans were a bit turnover prone early in that quarter, which meant that the Giants skipped out to an early lead. After that, our harassment skills came into play, and we probably had the better of the game; although still behind. I thought that Cameron and Wicks were our better players. Rowbottom exerted more influence as the game went on, while McInerney looks like creating something every time he touchs it. Amartey and McKellar were good in defence.Comment

Wow McGrath just took mark of the week and possibly of the yearComment

Similar to the first quarter, turnovers were costly early and the Giants further increased their lead. Wicks, Cameron and Rowbottom still playing well. Foot was handy that quarter. McKellar is turning himself into a strong defender, and even took a tough, leap from the side, pack mark. Hirst showed some good run down pressure. I don't think that McLean played in the first quarter, but he took a couple of grabs in the second. While as mentioned above, McGrath had his moments.Comment

If Knolls is the answer to our rucking issues, we are in big trouble. Cameron looks a much better option in every facet of the game. Please Horse, give Darcy a run!

Rowbottom is getting alot of ball but his disposal is a bit off.Comment

Again, the Giants were a bit more assured with the ball, while we were more likely to turn it over. A few turnovers in defence were costly; although these were largely by toppies, so shouldn't be too harsh. Pink did a couple of good things in that quarter. He left Bonar a bit sick and sorry, after a very solid bump. He then almost scored an excellent run and carry goal, but unfortunately, Simpson was waiting on the goal line. Wicks probably still our best.Comment

Knoll reminds me of the Stephen Doyle, Simon Feast, Ricky Mott style ruckman. Slow, lumbering in movement and decision making.
And if someone is at the ground & in the grand stand, please tell the silly old fart (sounds like a GW$ “supporter”) who is yelling at the top of his voice & complaining about the umpires to pipe down a bit? He has no idea, and is irritating on the live-streamComment
