I suspect this would be a big loss for us, but can't blame him for wanting to spread his wings. He's done a long apprenticeship coaching at club, academy and now AFLW level and he's probably as ready as anyone to take over his own team (at the AFLW level). I can't imagine Gowans is going anywhere soon (health permitting).

Wright choice: Former North Melbourne Kangaroo Sam Wright appointed Collingwood Magpies' AFLW coach

Someone else - "who" is unimportant - has been appointed as the new coach of Collingwood's AFLW side.

Selfishly I'm very happy if that means the Swans get to keep Davis for a little longer. It may only be a stay - I imagine he'll put his hat in the ring for other roles if he's keen on progressing up the ladder.

This is good news....I'm happy for the same selfish reasons.

There are some at Collingwood who have long memories, and I refer to Eddy who openly stated revenge at the time when Nick Davis had the audacity to walk out of the Magpies.
I wonder if this feeling amongst some still exists. My gut feeling is Nick and his family are firmly entrenched in Sydney

Yeah, Anthony Rocca going from Sydney to Collingwood was celebrated as the return of the Prodigal Son but Nick Davis was a traitor for going from Collingwood to Sydney.

Yes, I was wondering if Nick really wanted to return to a club, whose rabid fans booed him every time they saw him, for around five or six seasons.

Malthouse was also very critical of him. Very ordinary at the time. For some reason, Malthouse still bobs up in the media. Egomaniac.

When Malthouse starts talking on the wireless, I change station.

There was a certain multi-chinned Toorak Trillionaire arsehole who was responsible for both of those media themes. I wish someone could tell me who it was. I have wracked my brain to work out who it was but I can’t remember
My opinion is objective truth in its purest form

It was hard to find positives out of Collingwood winning the premiership but one big plus is that they did it without the Toorak Trillionaire at the helm!

                              Makes him even more irrelevant
