Hun reporting that Nick Smith has been sounded out for a playing / coaching role with Box Hill in the VFL (along with Deledio, Ottens and Douglas). I think having recently retired players performing this sort of role is a great idea. I wonder whether Macca could play this role for our NEAFL side? The young guys would learn so much by actually having him on the park with them, especially given how young and experienced our overall roster is.

I haven’t seen the highlights for Green, but of the others Young is the most eye-catching. This makes me think he’s worth considering.

His ability to work out stoppages, to win his own footy inside but also get on the outside and finish with a few goals.

We've got 3 1st rucks (Naismith, Sinclair, Knoll) a ruck/forward (McClean), and a couple of in match fill ins (Allir & Reid)

I don't think we need anymore, and certainly not one who has shown he is not up to AFL standard in Zac Clarke

Hes a 27 year old with calf problems which as a result have limited him to 2 games in 4 years and only averaged 15 games a season when he was fully up and running.

Waste of resources and time and if he was anywhere near AFL level , Fremantle wouldnt have wasted so much time and resource , only to let him go .
