I would only move a top 3 pick for Oliver, Wines, Walsh or Merret. They are the right age for us.

Epuld take Caldwell, Williams would cost a fortune and could easily be a malceski, a star in a good side but not as much when he is getting all the attention.

He is streets ahead of Malceski but you know what i mean

I agree with waswan... particularly if we get Cambell and Gulden. Well worth having a crack at those, though I suspect that they are quite well entrenched at their clubs (apart from Wines)

Having said that Jye Caldwell will be a gun.. could be a good 2nd rounder?

I like the look of Williams but agree with waswan, may not look as good in a second-rate side like the 2020 Swans. Another one who is "gettable" according to Caroline Wilson is Lachie Hunter, although he might be a bit too old.

Oliver can't kick goals. Wines is captain of his footy club. Buckley and none of getting him. Walsh is going to be contracted to Carlton for a long time I would suggest and Merrit is a very long shot. Caldwell would be get table as GWS still have cap tightening. Williams could be but they would be stupid to let him go. He and Green equal wins.

He’s 25. I’d take him, he’s contracted until 2024 though, so unless they really want him gone then it’s probably not worth getting involved. The cost would be too high.

Periodically I have mentioned the Lions and I think they are a good example of a rebuild. Made the brave decision to move on Rockliff, Redden and Beams. Drafted in young talent in McCluggage and Berry, got an out and out superstar in Neale, backed up by solid experienced players in Hodge, McCarthy and Cameron. It's a balance between getting established talent with promising youngsters. Also need to be bold in who you move on. This was all overseen by Fagan and Noble who in the space of a few years turned the Lions into the force they are now. There's no reason we can't do the same if we dare.

I am in favour of using pick 2 at the draft. I don't see the elite talent on our list. Taking the second-best kid in the draft pool, plus Campbell and Gulden, adds to our stocks. Need more talent on this list, though it won't be a quick fix, but the draft is certainly a good place to start. These numbers don't make for good reading. Just two Swans in the top five of their age across the competition.

If your time machine has sufficient seats bring back Bob Skilton, Fred Way and Max Papley, fix up our midfield, ruck and frankly we could do with a second Papley in our forward line.
And all without costing the Swans a flag.

Im all for using Pick 2 at the draft, would only move on those elite given their age.

Not sure the deal with Wines, i know he is captain but he is widely mentioned in trade for whatever reason

I know Wines gets mentioned but I don't think Port would deal. Although this has not been his best season he still has an influence.

I thought they were shopping him around, or was that his manager?

Tom Jonas is captain. Knowledge can be elusive.

No way he's worth a first round pick. Was dropped last year. If you're going to trade out pick 2 it'd have to be for Dusty, Danger or Fyfe
