We are pretty stocked up number wise for mids. By the time we take Campbell, Gulden and possibly a third with pick 3, one could argue we will be overstocked. I like the potential if Brodie and Constable but suspect we would need to let go of a few of our current bunch to go down that path.

Seems like he could be a pretty good option.
Looks like he has good hands and also showed some good disposal skills by foot in this highlights package.
      Draft prospect: Lloyd Meek
Given that there are a few clubs looking for a ruckman, hate to see us pay overs for roughies. As many teams have shown, you can be successful with an average ruck as long as they compete and the midfield is good.

Totally agree and he is already under contract for next year but definitely worth investigating if the price was right.
I think we could use a bit more aggression in the ruck especially with our younger midfielder brigade still building some body mass.

Just think we will need 2 young midfield bulls going forward Rowbottom will be one but he’s not overly tall . Need a tall midfielder to complement him . Watching Cripps have 4 players hanging off him and still able to get the clearance (since holding the ball doesn’t exist anymore ) . Tells me we need another big body . That could also come in the form of a crash and bash ruckman if we could source one

I read this morning ( fox footy trade news I think ) that he’s now a priority signing for the Tigers with Saldo going down with the ACL. Likely to get a 4 year deal.

With North selling off all their silverware I wonder if we could get Goldstein. Next years first rounder plus one of our surplus players like Ronke, Ling or Stoddart might get the job done.

wow, there is zero chance Goldstein is traded for a first round pick to anyone. May have been handy a few years back, but he’d be traded for journeyman value picks / contracts if he moved clubs now.

And adding one of our soon to be delisted players won’t help any trade.

Swans' 2020 Report Card on AFL website makes for interesting reading. I don't know who Cameron Noakes is but he gives us a D ratiing. One of the factors of influence being that we didn't improve our ladder position. He identifies as our big holes, our ruck situation (surprise), and suggests Geelong's Darcy Fort as someone we might look at. He thinks JD would be a risky move because of the injury history of both Bud and Reid (no surprise there either). He suggests Jeremy Cameron. The other hole - midfield. I don't think he has taken into consideration Campbell and Gulden on the horizon.

Darcy Fort out of contract at Geelong mentioned as a possible solution to our ruck hole.

We are said to be interested in Connor Blakely, but he appears to want to stay at Freo (he’s from Bunbury).

Goldstein is 32. He's got maybe 50 to 60 games left, and I agree that such players are not worth 1st-round picks. Maybe a 3th-rounder at best, more likely a 4th-round pick.

Because they won't get much trade value in a fair trade, North are more likely to keep him and recruit a replacement in the draft, maybe with their pick 9. It's just sensible succession planning.

By the numbers; not worth anyone's time.

Only advantage is he costs nothing. So does the leading goal kicker in the local park comp, and they’d probably offer more.
That's a bit Bernard King don't you think?

Paddy is a seriously good mark, too courageous (for his own good) and a pretty good kick. Playing with his brother, he would be more invested in the Swans than at any other club and being a second chance, he will grab it with all he's got. Yes he'll be cheap.....so why not? He's a number one draft pick!

I think he's been overly generous too. 2020 really is an 'F+' at best.

We should work GWS for a deal. Mummy and Jacobs retiring means they literally only have one kid on the whole list who can ruck, and he can't ruck in senior footy yet. They will be desperate for a ruck, and even another backup ruck.

Let's unload sinkers on them for draft picks or one of their young players?

.....and you wonder why people have a go at you. Seriously Barry, you're your own worst enemy. I try to be subjective when assessing other peoples post's but will always call out madness when I see it. An F+.....seriously? That's what I would give our injury list.....which seems to have been forgotten by many when assessing our season.
