If the players are keen to get to a particular club, they won't necessarily go via the PSD. North have 11 list spots to fill and they pick before most other clubs.

That would be enough incentive for clubs to negotiate in good faith. It's plausible that there will end up being a 4-club deal going through: Brown to Essendon, Daniher to Brisbane, Saad to Carlton, Carlton's first-round draft pick to Essendon, one or both of Brisbane's first-round picks going to North, some additional later pick swaps.

I think his most likely destination if he leaves GC will be one of the Adelaide clubs. Can you imagine what the Crowd would give for him (Brad and Matt Crouch ????????????)!

Lukosius and Rankine resigning probably irked Port Adelaide. I do remember them trying a bit of draft tampering, by warning the Suns not to risk drafting the two best South Australian prospects, because the go home factor would soon see them returning to Adelaide.

Funny that we had the money when we tried to pick him up last season. We could still have another target such as Cameron or a quality midfielder
