Another factor that would be boosting both players is they have been able to play in a competition this year while other players have been forced to wait it out. They would be more certain in a draft full of uncertainty.

This makes me more pessimistic that we will take pick 3 to the draft and get Campbell and Gulden as well, while holding onto next year's first round pick and avoiding a deficit. Either we're going to engage in some very deft pick trading, or something has to give.

As I've said before, my preference would be to find a forward who competes, runs hard, crashes packs and brings the ball to ground. In Papley, we have our own version of Charlie Cameron who is the Lions number one forward threat. A committed tall would elevate Papley to the next level, along with our other small / mediums. Of those available, I really like Brodie Mihocek. He fits the brief perfectly and wouldn't necessarily cost the earth (although we would have to deal with the Pies).
      I like Harry Himmelberg.

Riccardi seemed to be preferred to him at the end of the GWS season. He has had a down year, but who at GWS hasn't? If you look at his 2019 -

Harrison Himmelberg of the GWS Giants AFL Games Played Stats

He is regularly impacting the scoreboard as a hard running KPF. And he's from Wagga. And we might be a show to get his younger brother from Adelaide who seem to plan to build a forward line around him.

He has alot of score involvements bringing others into the game. He looks shorter than the 194cm he's listed at.

Re Himmelberg.....I often think there is an unspoken arrangement between us and the Giants to not move on
        each other's players.

He looks like what we hoped Reid would become.

That's interesting if true. Deal with the Crows...Hayward and 3 for Pick 1.

If there is, it only disadvantages us. Scrap it.

Yesterday, the Draft Central site put out their latest Power Rankings. I didn't bother posting a link, because with the lack of games, it was largely much the same as the previous month's rankings. However, they did expand it from the top 25 to the top 30. Which meant they had this profile of Gulden, at number 29.

I can't help thinking that as well as an academy discount, we might also end up with a, 'too small for the AFL' discount. Although Caleb Daniel winning the Bulldogs B & F might slightly change that.

Also, the Sydney AFL grand final, that they mention, is on tomorrow. It looks like there's a live feed of the match, via the Facebook pages of the Sydney AFL, or the pages of the Sydney Uni or UNSW clubs. Helpfully, the various sites, so far seem to be keeping the time of the match a secret. The one site that had a go at naming a time, said that it was both 2.30 and 4pm. As well as Gulden, there's a few other current academy players, plenty of ex-academy players and a couple of ex-Swans, in Towers and Hiscox.

Highly unlikely to be true, as he's contracted to 2024.

Jed Lamb also went to the Giants before landing at the Blues.

GWS don't have an issue taking our players. We should reciprocate if the opportunity arises.

I've been taking lessons from Adrian Dodoro, although he would probably demand Pick 1 for Hayward and wouldn't put pick 3 on the table.

Lamb played 12 games for us in 2013 and averaged 10 touches a game so I wouldn't have thought he was a deal
breaker. I thought it was widely considered Mumford was pushed out due to salary cap issues when Buddy came
in. Lamb left when Mumford did at the end of the '13 season. That was seven years ago. I don't think there has
been much movement between the two teams since then.
