Thurlow would not be in our next premiership side. He is a helpful top up currently, and probably belongs on an AFL quality list. But not ours. Would prefer to see games in to Gould next year instead.

Thurlow's delisting makes room for Paddy McCartin, if we want him. Thurlow is the 4th HBF we've delisted this year. We went overboard a bit on that position. Now we just need to get rid of ET to make for an open spot on our list for the supplemental drafts. I don't see a need to delist anyone else, except to move players to the rookie list.Comment

with the rotation of 3rd talls / HBF type roles we do appear fairly covered without Thurlow (as per list below)
........i suspect we may still want another genuine tall defender to cover Rampe, Melican and Brands KPD type lock down roles if injuries strike
3rd tall thru to HBF rotating matchups
1.Mills
2.Fox
3.Dawson
4.Colin
5.Gould

If our desired player is gone by pick 3 and the next player we want looks to be dropping beyond 3 (eg if priority 2 is a bit left field like Bruhn), I wonder if GC would be happy to trade 5 for our 3 and throw in their second rounder (currently 27, will blow out into the 30s with NGA, Academy and FS matching) given they look likely to only use one draft pick this year - they can just add 2 of their highly rated academy kids to their list?
We would get our player and plenty of points so as not to go into deficit for 2021?Comment

oooops i keep thinking of Tom as a forward
definitely can play both
will be fascinating to see what happens in 2021 if Bud Sam etc are all fit and firing !"be tough, only when it gets tough"

Can someone enlighten me. I think if its right with thurlow, we still need to delist 3 to account for our draftees with the loss of aa and thurlow and the addition of hickey the primary list = 40. (37 is the total for primary list I think). Are the 3 left on the rookie list (MClean, Bell and Amety) still ok for this list. and can we transfer 3 from main list to rookie list (havenot counted ET yet as a deletion.

It would be a left field pick for the Hawks though but given they have some inside mid depth, not entirely impossible for them to want Campbell given his outside run and left foot boot.
Do the club's talk at all? If not, maybe would be best to keep 3 and trade our future 2 for GCs 2020 2nd rounder?Comment

That 2012 grand final still burns deep and they believe they were robbed of it. They have already destroyed Goodesy by starting all the booing, and Clarkson takes every opportunity to devalue everything our club does. Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.Comment

I think the way the draft order stands at the moment, we have a good chance of snagging Logan McDonald given that North appear keen on Holland and maybe the Crows would favour a SA boy. My big fear is that Essendon will live-trade up to pick 2 especially if the crows do pick Tilthorpe and McDonald is still available.
I would love to hear North’s new coach come out and say pick two is off the table. Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.Comment
