Don't worry. Fox won't do anything stupid. His manager is Xavier Richards.

If you can score more freely from your clearances than you allow your opponent to do from theirs, that matters more than the raw number of how many you win.

74% of teams who won this stat also won the game since 2018.

this weighted much higher when identifying teams that win games vs just being on top in clearances

We have recruited for the outside run and carry, now need to get someone to transform our inside attack and defence.

While Ludwig only denies the validity of Ruckmen as a group - Ralph has taken the next logical step and denied their very existence.

PS - Yes I'm back, mainly due to the PM's I received (and was very grateful for).

food for thought re recruitment of specific players to suit success
It’s an opinion and really it seems like a 50/50 proposition generally speaking
They lost me when I noticed that they gave us 0% chance of making the eight next year and only Geelong or Richmond have a chance of winning the flag.

There's a lot to get excited about!

Also, just a question, after click that "+ thing (to the right of "reply with quote" under each post), how do you stop the same bits of material being quoted every time you try to respond to a post again?

You have to click it again to remove it from "multipost". It's annoying that it doesn't automatically do remove it once you've included it in a multipost response, but unfortunately it doesn't. (And BF, which has a more sophisticated forum system, has exactly the same issue.)

Assume you're just watching the rest of us pontificating about list management and the draft whilst holding your comments until you see the fullness of the clubs plans?

The stat that I follow most closely is the score on the scoreboard. The side with the greater score at the end of the game wins 100% of its matches.

There was talk earlier about the mid season draft next year. I have found this on the AFL website from a month or so ago which shows there is proposed three sort of drafts to add players to the list and a pecking order to who can claim who which is based on "the ladder" but doesn't specify if it's the 2020 season ladder or 2021 ladder at round 4, 8 & 12. Or it may just stay with a Mid Season Draft as it did last year.

"There will be three periods where clubs can nominate a previously undrafted or eligible player to their respective rookie lists throughout the season – after round four, eight and 12.

In the case of the same player being nominated by two or more clubs, the player will go to the team lower on the ladder under a rolling process.

The AFL will discuss the model further with both AFL and state league clubs over the next month with the view to finalising whether it is introduced in the 2021 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
