It doesn't seem like any are out there. Maybe we'll use some of our rookie selections on our academy players this year.

The commentators just gave the make up of the Allies side. There's four from the Giants, who've been in SA for last month, nine from NT, and the rest are SA top ups. The SA side seem to be also missing some of their top draft prospects.

Ah, thanks. I can go and do something else.

There's a few I like: Anderson is probably the main chance, to get a spot on the list; Roseby and Pfrengle, should at least make the VFL squad.

And the SA top-ups in the Allies team are from their U17 programme. As soon as I heard that I switched off. No chance of being an even vaguely competitive contest.

Too bad we can't see any in action this morning. I've also switched it off. Did like the size of Green by the way. Too bad he'll make his way onto the Giants' list.

Love the idea of Heeney playing the role he had in the back end of the year. Personally, I think he can easily fill and do a better job of the role he who should not be named had on the wing. Heeney is a better mark, has exquisite foot skills, can kick with both feet and still roll forward to be a goal kicking option.

Probably also another reason for the worthy Hewitt to be moved on.

Like Mike Pyke, he comes from a rugby background but that's where the comparisons end. Pyke was an elite rugby player, very athletic and played a position in rugby that required skill and vision (Fullback). McAndrew was playing at an amateur level as a second rower, a position that provides the grunt around the park. There are no requirements to kick or setup play as a rugby second rower, nor do you require blustering pace (checkout Pyke's try against the All Blacks). McAndrew main asset is his height (209cm) but in the games I've seen him play, he looks to lack mobility and is a bit uncoordinated. Having said all this, really hope he proves me wrong.

But in the meantime, we should take a young ruck in the draft as insurance for McAndrew not developing. Toby Conway seems to tick alot of boxes and looks to fall within our range. He would be a good chance to make big strides under Sinclair and Hickey.
                  100% agree with all this.

Bugger all the top 10 draft picks, we usually stuff them up. The compo pick for Hewett is probably one we’ll land a beauty with.

He’s a former employee. Any criticism is framed as the bitterness of a disgruntled former employee. He’s son also plays for Carlton and may appreciate if his Dad was not questioning the value of new team mates.

SOS could say to trade radio, I would rather not comment on Carlton as my son plays there. Everyone would understand and respect that.
And then they'd stop asking him.

I agree that’s very exciting news straight from the coaches mouth.

                        And as AB Swannies predicted

Least he could do for disgracing Troy Luff’s jersey.

Interested in MCS’s opinion on whether the Swans will trade the end of 2nd round compensation pick they received for Hewitt to the Western Bulldogs for the Western Bulldogs 2022 2nd round pick.

MCS believes that the Swans favour future picks this year.

Could be a good fair deal as the Western Bulldogs will be near the top next year.

There wasn't really a debate per se. Just the usual sequence of events. Ludwig said what was going to happen; some people made comments to the contrary; then the official statement came out.
