I'm not sure he would be tempted to relocate for more money or longer contract, given both are likely to be small improvements on any deal offered by Sydney. I hope he gets another year, to provide at least some cover for both Hickey and Franklin in 2022 at modest cost.
In my opinion, the next 6 weeks are so important to Reid’s career. If he can get back into the seniors and have a vastly superior impact compared to Amartey then he will get another season either at the Swans or elsewhere. I think his injury history is going to mean he will only get one year deals from here.

If he breaks down again, I think that will be stumps. I don’t know if another club will take a punt on him if he can’t get back onto the field.

As it is at the Swans, the prediction would be that McDonald, Amartey and McLean will continue to develop into better footballers. That will make things more challenging for Reid. Then you have Buddy who’s playing well and looking like he could do Buddy 2023.

McLean will not be a better player than Reid, who so many on here under rate mainly on the basis of two injury plagued seasons.

If there's too many KPF then Reid looks good whenever he goes back to stem the tide late in quarters, maybe not too late for a switch

Compo for RFA's is based on the contract they receive at their new club, solid money over say four years may get us a late second rounder. George may stay for less than he's currently on.

          This is for our players.

For other teams, click on their menu in the top right of that page, expand the player contracts heading and then select any other team that you want to view.

Not sure what you mean by Justin McInerney? His contract is till the end of next year.

Hopefully Hewett’s game tonight reminded some on here how valuable he can be. He was a failed experiment in the backline but since he’s moved into the middle, he has been fantastic. Granted, he looks like he could be mid 30s but he’s only 25.

I hope I don't offend people but any talk of letting Hewett go (unless he gets an offer we can't match) is madness. Like negative talk about Lloyd, Kennedy, Cunningham etc, Hewett is a very good player who almost always does his allotted role for the team.

Let's just trust the people that REALLY know the importance of players to our team to make the decisions.

The thing with Hewett he has a battle hardened body that you need around the ball . Showing why he was a runner up b&f two seasons ago now he’s back in the midfield . With Joey most likely having 1 year left he’s a keeper for me

                          +1 on Hewett

The suggestion that he has no value to our midfield, or has been surpassed by the youngsters is short sighted and ridiculous

I think some of the pessimism stemmed from the fact that Hewett was playing half back with no impact. Putting him back into a midfield tagging role has done wonders for him and the team. I don't know if he was tagging Kelly but he seemed to do a lot more with the footy after Kelly went off. Stats show that he had 7,7,9,7 possessions over the 4 quarters. What I have noticed is his disposal by foot has improved dramatically. He even looks like he has a lot more time to dispose. He didn't seem to be kicking around corners as has been his habit.

After the GWS game, and watching the pre- and post-match footage, no way are Dawson, Hewett or Parker not re-signing. This is a close-knit group, who are building a bond of brotherhood and are on a trajectory to success. No one will want to miss out on that.

Are the Crows any better this year than last year's Wooden Spoon? Forward line revolves around an ageing Tex and whilst they have plenty of kids, none of them are projecting to be stars, in fact three first rounders look to be ordinary role players at best. Crows can throw overs at Dawson but doubt he's buying their offer given our future.

Agree this looks a very close team at present, Sunday scenes were really touching and heartening.

Channel 7 here saying Crows are now chasing Stephens
