Fair point. And I agree - winning the flag takes precedence!

Can’t see us taking the risk on both .
Going to be a real balancing act

The thing in favour of Mills is he will not be playing on Marvel concrete.

I get the instinct and spirit.

But the correlation between Buddy failing to get to 1000 this year, and us missing a flag, is extremely strong.

          ins Jpk Chad
          Outs RB Campbell

Mills plays , no point worrying about him getting injured for next week , there wont be a next week if we lose this one . Win this one and worry about the rest later .

Watched the replay of suns game , wicks works hard . Goal he kicked in the square came from about a 150m gut run , good stuff . Keeps his spot over Campbell

Should either play and break down during the game it would be an absolute disaster. We have other fully fit players in the wings. They may not be as good as those two but they are fit and raring to go. Play them if in doubt.
I agree. And we certainly can't take the risk of playing both Mills and Kennedy, even if they look like they might be okay. Way too much risk.

Any doubt and leave them out. I liked the team we had against GC. They looked a fine cohesive unit. Just add Warner as the medical sub.

It's just been announced that the GF will be held at Optus Stadium if it can't be held at the MCG.....so it will be in Perth then.

So you're both saying whoever they bring in will offer the team more than Mills can in 3/4 of a game?

I can’t see Joey back after only 2 weeks with a hammy- Millsey should play if he passes on Thursday. Would love Chad in but a question mark re match fitness as not sure how much he played the last couple of weeks. Campbell is ahead on fitness alone. Regarding the Wick, I thought he had his best game for quite a while and hopefully can build on this form. Rowie should hold his spot and if Chad comes in, Robbie the med sub.

Jpk had a minor strain , 2 weeks rest , its a final get him out there . Same with Mills . if we lose they will have months to rest .

Chad has played 4 games now , gulden came in without any vfl games .

These guys even on half fitness can do more than campbell RB Fox etc and we must win this one

But you know that if both JPK and Mills play then there's no chance of Chad coming in, even as a medical sub. It would mean that 1 player from the GC game will be med sub and another will be omitted. There's not going to be a 3rd demotion to get Chad in, if he hasn't even made medical sub yet.

Those who want to see Chad in the side should hope that neither Mills nor JPK play this week. I think Chad would likely come in as medical sub if both are out, and he might even make the 22, with one of Campbell, Fox or O'Riordan dropping to med sub.

Thats not true they might decide Chad is better than any of Campbell rowbottom fox or o'riordan and make a 3rd change to get him in

So you only want him to score 7 goals in 4 finals games? Shame on you!

I don’t mind when Lance gets to 1000 and he doesn’t either , he just wants to keep winning for the team after staging his astonishing turn around from injuries , from out of shape from mental struggles .
                            Amazing .

Mock teams for all finals games are posted here on the AFL website. Anything for content, I suppose.

They suggest Chad Warner and Robbie Fox come in for Callum Mills and Colin O'Riordan.

For the Fums, they suggest Stephen Coniglio, Shane Mumford, Phil Davis come in for Xavier O'Halloran, Kieren Briggs, Jake Stein.

Come on Swans, let's cut down the beanstalk and bring the Giants down to earth with a big thud.

You may interpret it that way.
Remember when McVeigh broke down in a final a few years ago after going in injured?
Remember when Hanners got taken out early in 2016 GF?
Remember when King took O'Brien out in early stage of '96 GF?
Different circumstances but all resulted in us being a star down and led to losses.
The game lasts four quarters and even more than ever, every minute is vital.
No chances should be taken with obviously damaged participants.
