That is great news with Logan. From our best 22 that still leaves McInerney, Florent, P McCartin (FA), Lloyd (FA) & Cunningham (FA) who's contracts expires this year we need to re-sign. Buddy (FA) is a wait & see. Host of fringe players expiring this year with Fox & Reid leading that pack.
Crystal balling into next year we have Papley (FA?), Mills (FA?), Tom McCartin, Chad, Stephens, Rampe (FA), Wicks, Melican (FA?), McLean & Amartey plus our 2021 draft haul.

Good to have him signed on. Would of liked to have seen a bit longer per say, but we should be well placed if he develops as hoped to get him to re-sign a contract through to the point of free agency when we next seek to extend.
Be interesting to see if he keeps his spot for Friday."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Just simply outstanding.
We've got a big job on this year's contract renewal, and an even bigger job next year - but hooray to date.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

I think all of us on this forum have a job to do now which is to act as matchmakers and find a suitable long-term Sydney-based girlfriend for Logan. Then he will be really locked in with us long-term!Comment

Love hearing him say “ The Sydney Swans is the only place I ever wanted to be” he seems very content let’s hope that he is still feeling that way in 2024Comment

i would suspect a significant offer would come Lloyds way from other clubs rebuilding
Campbell could definitely play his role in the future.........would it take Campbell 18months to get to a similar level of Lloyd....... if we could NOT convince Lloyd to stay?
Jake Lloyd | AFL
Elite in Disposals and metres gained.........he truly inches us down the field so effectively"be tough, only when it gets tough"

Campbell, J-Mac and Blakey are the half back future and in my opinion will be the most destructive counter attacking unit in the game.
There are already two predicted late round draft picks coming this year and he Lloyd goes to free agency then another potential 2nd round.Comment

Lloyd is a very reliable and worthy player for us. To be fair, his stats are inflated by the fact that he takes the kick-ins and plays on every time (which is relevant to all of those stats except the handballs). He is also one of small number of more experienced and senior players. The loss of Dawson and Hewett last season hurt precisely because they fit in the age/experience bracket where we are most lacking. Still, I agree we don't break the bank for Lloyd and, if he gets a grandfather offer and wants to go, we let him go and make the most of the compo (hopefully would be end of first round - even though he is older than Hewett, he is a dual Bobby Skilton medallist and once runner up and should be on a better contract and need a bigger offer to lure him away). All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)Comment

Lloyd is getting to the age where not many clubs, other than Geelong, are looking to make a long term commitment to a player. (He'll be 29 in Sept.). He's also good friends with Harry C. I think he'll stay if we make him a fair offer, which I expect us to do. It would be good to keep the core group of Rampe, Lloyd and Harry, together for as long as possible to anchor our defence, which they've been doing so well for a fair few years now.Comment
