Pretty sure that's the case. Which means that it's now a minimal advantage. Although it's debatable, whether they should get any advantage, for being able to spot if a promising footballer looks indigenous, African or has an ethnic sounding name.

Kane Cornes on SEN saying try Crows should try and trade for Hayward (one year to go on his contract) and put him in their midfield.

Must be pushing the same barrow as earlier in the week when it was first mentioned. Wilbur wouldn’t leave Ollie would he ?
Seriously though he is still under contract and has in my opinion become a key player for us. Some of his contested marks are sublime considering he is just over six foot and does not exactly look like a solid player. Six years he has been with us and is just coming into his prime and I think both him and Ollie ain’t going anywhere for a few years yet.

I hate Joye this is encouraged by the media. I feel like Cornes should mind his own effing business

Liam Baker off the table now as he has signed on for two more years at the Tigers.

Surely their baby would have to come into consideration as well. Subjecting an infant to an upbringing in Adelaide could be very damaging to
the child, and could result in lawsuits against the club in the future that might be very costly.

Sigh - my pet obsession re the player I wanted us to recruit from other club is over.

Brayshaw turned his back on RFA and signed on for another six years at the Dees. Long contracts not so rare any more.

Also, don't confuse Twomey's form guide with his phantom draft. They may both be based on what he hears from other recruiters but it's the phantom draft that tends to be highly accurate for the first 10-15 picks. The form guide is more a reflection of his personal opinions.
These are what are being called "Power Rankings", where players are deemed to fit against each other on pure ability.

Before the ND we have Phantom Drafts that try and predict who goes where, these have the nuance of what type of player is needed by clubs at each pick rather than pure rating of ability.

Phantoms tend to follow after Twomey publishes. Twomey still gets the better inside info than others, it's why his Phantom is the most accurate.

Brayshaw being off the table may mean Fremantle keep Logue who some us are interested in, as they won’t have to trade away so many players to fit both Jackson and Brayshaw in.

How Melbourne can afford May, Lever, Petracca, Oliver, Brayshaw and Gawn (plus Fritsch, Langdon, Salem and Pickett etc) is beyond me though. But I guess they probably won’t be able to afford to keep Jackson as well.

Don’t worry about Melbourne. How can Geelong be chasing De Goey, Lobb and the GWS malcontents when you see the list they’ve got?

On a different topic Properly development is going gang busters on the Bellarine peninsula. Be great to have a share in that.

Mate of mine is a Geelong supporters and lives down there - and even he laughs at all the rorts they pull. Their COLA is they never pay for anything.

Players want a weekend away in off season. No problems. Go to some winery getaway that sponsors Geelong and they don’t get charged.

There’s a local bakery that’s a sponsor and players all have a coffee account that’s never called in.

All out of the goodness of the heart of the owner of course. Nothing underhanded at all.

Completely uneven playing field pretty clever how they targeted the Northern clubs to keep them in check while their advantages were untouched.

Why i was disgusted when the club just took it with a whimper.

Jason Johannisen might be on the move. 29yo. Don't think he'll be on our radar.
