Josh playing first game after injury but listed as playing HB. All the 4 emergencies of the Senior Team are still included in the fillowing Team List:

Backs Lachie Rankin Lewis Melican Barry O'Connor
Half Backs Harry Cunningham Will Gould Josh Kennedy
Centreline Adam Gulden Angus Sheldrick Braeden Campbell
Half Forwards Hugo Hall-Kahan James Bell Sam Wicks
Forwards Ben Ronke Logan McDonald Hayden McLean
Followers Callum Sinclair Lewis Taylor Matt Roberts
Interchange Corey Warner Will Edwards Jake Bartholomaeus Nick Shipley Toby Alker
I hope Edwards gets a reasonable amount of game time. His fellow academy prospect, Webster, recently showed that he could handle the jump to VFL level, so it'd be nice if Edwards could do the same.

I also hope that they play Campbell where he's named; as an outside mid.

Laidler's in the emergencies in the lineup PDF from the VFL (AFL) site. Also JPK will be wearing 9...

Should be an interesting game. Southport sitting 2nd on the ladder including a big win over Brisbane a few weeks ago, whom thrashed us early in the season. But I believe we have a much better side now. Interesting to see how Josh goes.

McAndrew misses again?! He can't string 2 games together, so it seems. I wonder what it is this time.

Too sick to play. Not sick enough to make the injury list. Speaking of which, the injury list looks harder to make than the AFL side. Why can't they put Sheather and COR on it?

Yes, his attendance is becoming a bit Naismith like. Oh well, I suppose that I get my wish of seeing a bit more of Edwards, as they might have him lending a hand in the ruck. Which he's quite good at, at academy level. Not so much for his tap work, more for his second efforts.

0dd quarter. Our tall defenders in Gould, O'Connor and Melican all did well. Other than that, our ball movement was disjointed. McDonald was looking dangerous, so I hope our midfield can find him more often.

Is there any chance we might score something?

Sheldrick with leather poisoning. Melican and Gould very good. Some promising moments from Rankin. Wicks coming into it. McDonald classy when it comes near him.

Great to see Logan hit the long set shot.

Great, high-pressure game. Pretty exciting to see Sheldrick go about it; he's a beast in close with and without the ball.

Quite a tough game, although I'd be pleased with some better ball movement. Agree with your best players.

He might be earning a bit of appreciation from Kennedy.

We were very disjointed early, I think Southport brought a lot of pressure. Melican & Gould kept us in it until we developed some more fluency through the middle. Certainly a tough game, will be a good measure of some players progress.
Sheldrick looks strong, McDonald classy and Gould our best to half time.
