For what it's worth, I thought Meredith was poor last week and I was hoping he wouldn't be umpiring this week. I didn't think Stevic was too bad, although he did seem to ignore a fair few holding the ball and interference in the marking contest decisions, that he could have paid to us. I also think he's actually been pretty good, most of times that we've had him this year. Which are words that could come back to haunt me. And I don't really know who Hosking is. Which is possibly a good thing, since if he's umpired any of our games, then he hasn't noticeably offended me.

I just hope Hosking isn't the umpire I call 'pretty boy'. If he is, it could get ugly for us.

I don't love this. I get it that Logan hasn't been great of late but we have been winning and we've always been a team that has liked to go the way of 'if it ain't broke then no need to fix it' regarding our selections when there aren't forced changes (injuries).

I don't believe for a second that Reid will play (as I'm sure Geelong don't either) so if we are playing these games and naming him then why not just name an unchanged side with McLean (who will obviously play) be the late in for Reid.

I hope this doesn't dent Logan's confidence, it must be frustrating and upsetting for him.

Man, they brought McLean in for Logan. I feel really bad for the guy. I guess McLean provides that contested marking threat and may relieve Sam in the ruck.

I suspect there's a good chance Sam will be subbed off during the third and they'll bring Logan on to charge up the wings.

If by some miracle Reid plays as selected it's still a bit of a risky move to select a young key forward as a sub, particularly if it's a wet afternoon. If Sam doesn't play I would think Logan should come in a play a role and we stick with Campbell as the sub. It's going to be anyone's guess until an hour out but I wouldn't want to be Reid or the selection committee if he breaks down at the first contest similar to Zorko did late in the season after coming back too quick from a hammy...
