As always there are decisions that go for and against and generally they even themselves out
Yes that was a shocker from the umps.

Logan could be carrying an injury, we don't know. If not being medi-sub will still get him a medal and maybe game time.

I think the medi-sub being available means you can take a risk with an injury in the grand final.

If Reid gets up, the McLean won't need to ruck. But his good endurance running and reach advantage should help against Stewart.
It will also mean we are playing two defensive tags. Something a coach as defensive as Horse would be perfectly comfortable with doing.

We are good at spoiling Geelong's party. We beat them at Geelong when they were going for 30 straight wins. The Geelong Advertiser already had their posters out crowing about 30 straight.

I recall during pre-season, one of Callum Sinclair's podcasts, he interviewed Melican and asked him who the stand-out pre-season performers were;?? He said something like "McLean has been a gun, he'll have a good year".

              Let us all hope so...

Geelong are the oldest (average age) ever to play in a grand final

There is a very good reason no one fields such an old team, and it's an anomaly of a uneven draw that even gets such an old team through

I got out for the big Sydney Swans supporters group Chiang Mai Grand Final parade. The crowd was really jumping, and the food was loaded with red hot Swan chili peppers to spice up the day. They are very confident of Victory and threatened a revolution if we don't win.

Trust the youth not old players, that’s what got us here.

Logan has speed and can run
Totally agree. Just heard the news on telly over here in the West ( strangely I am in Kalgoorlie). Devastated that Logan is out. At worst he should be sub.McLean is good. Do not mean to be mean but for me Brayden Campbell just does not cut it. Rabbit in the spotlight last week . We need big blokes not small guys. If there is any suspicion about Reid he should not play . In 2016 they played Rohan and McGlynn both under injury concerns and it was a disaster. Sorry. - bad decision Re Logan .

Great to see the Thailand Swans Army out in force, Ludwig. Luckily those yellow shirts Thailand Hawks supporters did not make it this year!

If photos are any guide, the lads (and John!) seemed relaxed at the parade today, which is great!
