That was a roundly awful final quarter. Right from the moment Owen kicked the ball into the post from the goal square, the Bullants ran all over the Swans.
For pretty much the whole game we had no physical presence in our forward line. McAndrew and/or Owen just standing hoping the ball lands in their hands doesn't count as forward presence. And yet, despite this, the primary means of delivery forward was the trademark long bomb.
Sheldrick couldn't have done much more - indeed, at times he almost had to try to do too much.
Warner had a few moments and worked decently hard in an unfamiliar role.
And Kirk - for a 19yo top-up - had some very nice moments. His overhead marking for his size is pretty good. I would have him in the top handful of Swans on the ground, which is a bit damning for most of the rest.
