Jeremy Cameron was 26 when he and two second round picks, were traded for 13, 15, 18 and a fourth round pick.

Just a reference point for Barrass discussion.

I hope the recruiters aren't even having Barrass discussions LOL

Can anyone (with better internet than me!) tell us what Twomey is discussing in his latest video "scary draft talent" TIA

I agree with you on this with one proviso. Talk of a first round draft pick for someone like Barrass, to me does not make sense. Certainly go after free agents such as Himmelberg, and others who do not cost draft picks. Only use first round picks on exceptional young talent in the 22 to 26 year range. They are around and you can get better value for money.

Yep pick 5 a few years ago has turned into plutonium

McLean, McDonald, McAndrew, McInnerney, McCartin x2

What is the highest number of Mc’s on an AFL/VFL team list in any single season?

I see Geelong are making a big play for Bailey Smith. That bottomless Salary cap just gets deeper. Club great reacts to trade rumours surrounding star Bulldog

JVR back in Melbourne team as a forward and second ruck as Grundy omitted/managed.

Some farmer benefactor with cows has volunteered to give up his farm to Geelong FC. Bailey Smith; " I always wanted to be a farmer".

No for me with Barass too much money and too old for our list.. Rather chase himelberg (younger and cheaper),can play both ends of the ground as well. Why wont horse try Arnold nothing to loose. Bring him in to replace melican(imnjured again) instead of going back to Francis. We know what he brings but dont with Arnold.

If we intend to take Cleary, and suspect we will, then it might be worth trying to trade our 2 second round picks for Barrass. We should definitely keep our 1st rounder. Then we can take someone like O'Sullivan with that pick and use our 3trd rounders on Cleary. That would be a decent outcome for the post season if we fail to land a FA like Himmelberg.

Sadly I can't see Melican continuing on with his dreadful hamstring injuries, especially when we already have McCartin in such a fragile condition with his concussion history.

I think our forward line is taking shape with Amartey playing so well this year. Along with Logan and Buller, the foundation is there with 3 tall marking players. We just need to fix our decimated KPDs.

I see that we are trying Gould forward a bit. We should try to develop him somewhere, because he's a big unit and really kicks well. I'm still keen to try McLean in defence.
