I sent you the link to the 150 years thread that you missed - happy to discuss the matter in that thread. This one keeps getting diverted, and Meg's not happy.Last edited by Ruck'n'Roll; 22 September 2023, 02:08 AM.Comment

If Collingwood lose to the giants, it will be a worse finals exit than both Melbourne and port.
Melbourne straight sets exit was unlucky because it was only inaccuracy in front of goal that caused the losses. They won all other stats. Fixing there forward line is the only issue they have.
Ports straight sets exit was caused by injuries at the wrong time of year, and they were one of the weakest finals sides who happened to win a lot of close games in the H&A. A top 4 finish flattered them.
Now the pies were outplayed and lucky to win against Melbourne, so if they lose to the giants they will have been outplayed in both finals. Terrible result for the top team.
I'm not sure their game style stacks up in finals.

Sam Taylor consistently pushes his opponent in the back in order to take a mark. Commentators come out with the "best one on one player in the comp" tripe.
Diametrically opposite interpretation to the way they used to interpret the rules when Micky O was playing.
If a Swan was doing it they would be pinged every time.
