        According to AFL2004, he wore 23 in 1933 before switching to 10 in 1934.

                And that was (in the main) in a period when we weren't ****.

                I guess they were all talls - I'm hoping that's why Dempster got the number and not other reasons (I'm scratching).

                  You mentioned LINDSAY WHITE wearing no 7 . Do you or any one else know anything about him? Did he cross over to Geelong? Many many many years ago in Canberra a Lindsay White played here for the local Magpies and was a bit of a celebrity . I remember seeing him play when he was over the hill..

                    The only one I knew at Sydney who did a bit of crossing over was Adam Hueskes.
