If Hall gets any suspension all players should play in
    net-ball skirts in the future.

If Maguire doesn't stand up for Hall I think everyone should take the time to purchase one netball skirt and post it to

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I reckon Roos will come out soon and say that the club should accept the decision of the MRP and (assuming it goes to them) the Tribunal. And I would agree. This team can win without Bazza and they don't need the distraction of another Dunkley-style court saga. Just cop it sweet - like we did the QFinal robbery - and move on.

Having said that, I hope he gets away with it because the penalty to the club would be way out of proportion to the harm done by one small punch.

I was having a laugh at the amount of St Kilda fans on talk back who were bitter and claiming McGuire would never act and is as tough or even tougher than Barry Hall.

I must admit i am sick to death of this. It's like Barry Hall has commited the biggest and most hideous crime in the history of Australia.

Would be good if the tribunial come out and clear bazza. I wonder what the so called "experts" who write for the HUN will say then.

              From the Tele:

Former Adelaide and St Kilda coach and now Channel Ten expert commentator Malcolm Blight dissected a number of these incidents on-air during halftime of the West Coast-Adelaide preliminary final.

On Kangaroos skipper Glenn Archer's shot to Port Adelaide's Warren Tredrea Blight said: "That is no different to Barry Hall's".

On West Coast's Chris Judd and Brady Rawlings from the Kangaroos, Blight said: "That is no different to Barry Hall's."

After also looking at Archer and Brisbane's Luke Power and Western Bulldogs' Lindsay Gilbee on Nathan Brown, Blight predicted that Hall would play in the Grand Final.

"Other than [the fact] Maguire went to ground those last four [incidents] -- if that's the last six weeks I think he's got a case to answer [but] I don't think he should get a game," Blight said. "He won't get anything."

                .
The unfortunate part of this is the tribunal is in Melbourne listening to all this.

                      Usually between 4.00 and 4.30pm.

The first to report it will be SEN 1116 in Melbourne as they will be discussing the case and game live at the time so will go straight to the fax.

Afternoon. Usually its between 3-4pm although being only the two matches, it could be earlier.

Will today's news be only the citings from the match or will it include early plea information and such?

I'm pretty sure they come out with the early plea and activation point crap straight away so that the club has time to prepare a defence.

Heaven forbid should I suggest that the tribunal may be anything less than proffesional, but is anyone else concerned that all the talk about Hall getting 97.5 points and the discussion about in play/ out of play etc will get into the panels heads. It may make them want to come to a different conclusion to everyone else just to make it seem like they are not pressured into making decisions. What does everyone else think?

That they will rule the evidence inconclusive, with no clear strike evident. He will not get cited.... there's something a bit different
