Good to see some tackles in this video. I know I did not see too many on grand final day!

A little odd that there have been no official social media or website posts about training for seven days. There's generally a photo montage, video or even player interview from each training session. But there has been nothing at all.

On the Swans site, there's now interviews with all the recent recruits, after they were given their jersey numbers. All seemed likeable, but I thought Leidler and Andrew were particularly effective communicators. Doesn't necessarily translate to being quality players, of course, but it does suggest an ability to understand and implement game plans, get along well with other people, etc.

Agree, particularly re Leidler, who was notably articulate.

I thought Bowman was an interesting interview. He seems ambitious and quietly determined.

And Bowman's interview skills seem to have improved. There's an interview that he did, when he was perhaps just starting out at Norwood, where he was either very nervous or very cold. Hopefully being given the 23, is some sort of clue to his potential.

Also, I think I've noticed a few players from the academy in the background at training. I've certainly seen Joe Harrison, probably Tom Ryan and perhaps Harrison Podmore-Taylor. So it's possible that they have VFL contracts, or at least they're in the running for VFL contracts, after missing out on rookie spots?

Great injury update, just our prized pick unlikey to play next year

hope it was a preseason injury and not one he already had which would mean swans recruiters have a need to say something

I wouldn’t go that far, but it certainly doesn’t look good- back injuries can take a long time though. Let’s hope it’s not too bad!

Now, I'm sure that you can think of something that rhymes with Konstanty, if you really tried. It's a shame for young Jesse, though, and hopefully it'll be a speedy recovery. I'm slightly confused by the statement on the Swans site, that says that he's "likely to miss four months of football". Does that mean he should be right to go four months from now and therefore available late April or early May? Or does it mean four months from the start of the season, which means late July?

I suspect that it's the former, so maybe he'll be doing enough in the VFL by midseason, to start putting pressure on the selectors.

Based on history, zero chance he plays seniors next year
