Out of all the key forwards mentioned by the media in recent weeks as being possible trade baits at season's end, Charlie Curnow peaks my interest the most, but not at the ridiculous 2-3 x 1st round picks some have suggested!!!!

Fantasising if we somehow can get a deal done (which may also involve players), i can envisage Charlie being so potent for us, particularly with the likes of Erroll & co giving him silver service.

Charlie & Joel being our key forwards, with Logan groomed in KPD role and potential swing man (rather than McCartin).

Any key forward we recruit will put pressure on the likes of McLean and Buller holding their spots on the list (or requesting trade).

With this year's draft deemed as not being deep, clubs will up the ante trading for players. We also have the Academy prospects to consider, so i'm thinking club may do a rather larger than normal list overhaul, particularly with Cox's first crack at shaping list to his desires.

Cox led a lot of the consideration last year (especially on draft night), so its probably close to his second crack - but will definitely be interesting to see where he takes it.

Key Defender more of a a need, Lever perfect.

Our Key fwds aren't far off the mark.

Cameron, Hogan and Darcy are a step ahead

The rest are going at 2 goals a game which is either, not a lot more than our guys have done or not alot more than our guys are capable of.

Madness to burn multple 1st round draft picks on Curnow.
Logan, Amartey, Mclean have all done the same if not more at the same time of their career

I do worry about Amarteys durability though

Lever would be exactly what we need, would love an upgrade to one of either Mclean or Amarety

Since when does Lever (a defender) loom as an upgrade on McLean or Amartey (forwards)? Do you want to resuscitate the McCartin as a key forward experiment?

                  Two sentences from Dow
                  1 - Would love Lever
2 - Would also love to upgrade Mclean/Amartey

Makes more sense now! Yes, Lever could be good. As for the Bont, forget it as it will never happen Charlie Curnow would be ideal but I don’t know what would entice him to come, other than Carlton are cr#p. Do we hold any cards that won’t jeapordise our Acadamy boys? And then there’s the salary cap…….

looks to me that Cox doent rate Ollie. Suggest ge might be out the door at seasons end. A pity he is far better tha Lloyd and R Bice.

I rate him above those 2 as well but him missing out is only unusual as it's Sydney

Look at Geelong, Stengle is an emergency not a word has been mentioned

The guys is on 20 goals this year, 46 last year All Australian in 2022 with over 50, 27 yrs old.

A regular on the outer is only unusual at Sydney, no one is talking about where Stengle may play next year

Believe there is a family issue with Stengle.

Curnow's returns in matches since Carlton's bye in round 12:

                              Round 13 vs Essendon: 2.2
Round 14 vs West Coast: 1.0 (subbed out at half time with a minor calf injury)
Round 15 vs North Melbourne: 0.1
Round 16 vs Port Adelaide: 0.3
                              Round 17 vs Collingwood: 0.3
                              Round 18 vs Brisbane: 0.2

In six weeks, he has scored 3 goals 11. He hasn't scored a goal in four matches.

Maybe he's playing with an injury. Even so, three first round picks, really?

Crappy deal, major draft capital and he probably ends up your highest paid player, no thanks
