Both Roberts and Campbell can improve- Roberts needs more composure with his disposal and this should get better the more he plays. Campbell has played over 50 games but mainly across half back or half forward. I thought he played midfield in our Academy? If so, shouldn’t we play him there and give Rowy a break?

Playing injured players always happens and is never good in hindsight but I'd say for other examples it comes off more often than not, we were never not playing Heeney for example.
I think you are on the money here with your comments. In my opinion the reason we lost the grand final in the way we did is two fold. Again, for the second GF in a row, we played injured players ( McDonald and Heeny ) in 2022 it was Sam Reid. Secondly, when we had these injuries, we were totally unprepared as we had not exposed fringe players to see who could handle the pressure when we had the opportunity mid season with the philosophy that you don’t change a winning team. Cox appears to be more open to this.
Having said that, I don’t believe we would have beaten Brisbane, but we all expected a significantly better effort.
The other thing you have touched on is list depth which has been exposed this year which needs to have an even balance between development and experienced players.
One last, I share your concerns about Robert’s, but still hold hopes for Campbell
We were exposed on both days for our lack of depth. Too much left to, too few. All well known but Horse never made anyone accountable as we were winning. You hold guys to standards and performance when your winning, we had ample time last year to rotate the bottom few and didn't, now we are in the situation judging guys careers on less than 20 games when they are selected into teams with a need to perform.
If they were selected last year they could have learnt more fitting into a top side as opposed to fitting into a side under pressure.
Cox has dropped more players in 3 months then what Horse did in 3yrs👍 2Comment

Very surprised, he just looks so far off a best 22 when we are fully fit, guess depth is a good thing.Cal Twomey reporting we’ve put a two year offer on the table to Sheldrick.

Lynch too old and Lewis no better than what we have coming off a kneeComment

I think he's been important to our structure. If we want to play Mills behind the ball, which we are doing right now, we need someone in the middle doing the grunt work of clearances. Gus is doing that. I get he has issues to tidy in his game, but at the moment we need his in-and-under stuff. To be honest, he's also the only under 22 midfielder on our list showing any substantive signs. Cleary will probably get there, but he's not there yet. If we moved him on, there'd be a hole in the development of our list.

I agree on every point
