    I love Robbie Fox, but you don't keep him and Ramps - and to be frank, I find the dismissal of Rampe on here a bit off. He's not quite the elite level player he was, but he just gave Toby Greene a bath and has had some good games this year. As long as there is an honest conversation about what next year could look like for him if Snell and Edwards kick on, sign him up for me.
    Parker had 60 touches and 8 goals in the last 3 games of last season and was 3yrs younger than Rampe......
    Like Parks I love Ramps but too old, The history of club Legends going that extra year for us has been damming, ironically Parker aside

      One thing I cannot understand about Roberts is that his disposal and general play was not bad at the start of the season, now its gone downhill.

        We played tall fwds and Ladhams at the start of the season, giving options down the line and spreading the field

        Now we don't, so Roberts has no bail out fwd and is looking for short crap in the middle of the ground that isnt there

          Yes. But the difference is Parks wanted a three year extension on equal money to what he’d been on - about $700k. I love the guy to death but that’s not an offer we could have made.

          Ramps is on about half of that and may get a one year extension.

            Parker still had a year to run
            Could have held him to it

              We wanted to shuffle him on to be able to make use of some of his salary this year for other purposes. I'm sure I read we are paying part of his first year salary at North, but it probably freed up at least half of that $700K for other purposes.

                Time to make some hard decisions. We have at least three, possibly 5 if they last until the Rookie Draft, Academy Players available. we need to clean house;

                Delist;

                Francis (I am sad about this because he has the talent just not the confidence. I was hoping he could be instilled with confidence)
                Paton (I like what he does at VFL level but he doesn't seem to be able to translate that to AFL Level)
                Leidler (Had a one year contract and doesn't seem to have come on. But that may be because the Twos have been @@@@e all year
                Mitchell (again, he has not developed. He has raw talent but is not getting it done at VFL Level)
                Rampe (Retire. The time is now. We have to refresh the list and he is old news. I love sir Dane but it's time)
                Kirk (There are many who want to delist him. I'm not sure. He does well at VFL Level. If that could translate to AFL he would be a very good mid)

                Ones who might either retire or have status changed;

                Jake Lloyd (although he's one who has played some good footy lately he may retire)
                Jack Buller (I think we should retain this guy. He's played well and adds to the team)
                Joel Hamling (Should ber offered 2 more years, same as Buller)
                Pistol Pete (2 years more)
                Robby Fox (One more year. But might retire)
                Tay Adams (has one more year but maybe we could Rookie him and open a spot on the main list. He is injured all the time. I wonder if he'll retire)

                  Agree with most of the above, except i think Rampe should still be retained even though he may only play limited games. Still has enough defence craft along with his experience to be valuable. No one really pushing him out at this stage. Great servant of the club.

                  Would like to hold onto Ladhams as he's perfect backup to Grundy. Would shudder if we lose Grundy to injury and having to rely on Green who is still on L plates.

                  Thinking KPD is now a higher priority over KPF and listening to media reports on players who may become available, Jake Lever and Jack Silivagni leap to mind. Both might be achievable, considering reports Silvagni is willing to move to Pies for mid $600k.

                    Surely we can't give 2 yrs to Hamling at 32

                    Would love to see Riak getting a game, looked like he has put on alot of size since drafted

                      A lot of interesting perspectives on here. Reckon a number of posters would fit right in with the Norf list management team!

                      You'll find that the club's view of many of the players mentioned is quite different to what is being said above.

                        Well of course it will be, the club and the players have a different relationship then fans do.

                            What about Jordan Ridley at Essendon. Too many soft injuries but talented. Maybe we can work our magic on him and since Essendon Strengthening team are not good enough he maybe keen to leave?

                              I still want to know what Ollie has done wrong. Better than a couple of others. J Ralph on mid week tackle brought his name up asking almost the same question and said there were many clubs interested.

                                Not sure to be honest and I guess we will never fully get the truth, but it would be fair to say his form was down, his disposal questionable and the match had others move ahead of him.
