the problem I see is Mills has had one good year in the mids and that's being generous I worry his body won't allow him to return to that level again and agree on 1 a key defender, but also add we need a at least one key forward none of the 4 we have now are or probably ever will be A grade AFL players 2 or maybe 3 could make B grade.

If we don’t think they can be good forwards we need to try them down back and send Tom forward in the game. And see how they go for 10-20 min period.
agree regarding Mills. Mills probably should be our intercept defender rather than a midfielder. He did that job quite well. Two halfback flankers should be Blakey and Bice. Sam wicks is doing a good job as a small defender and needs to be persisted.
I wonder if Sam wicks with his mongrel will be suited to the midfield too or not.Comment

Thank goodness for that. We should get some relief from the distractions until about March next year lol. But good to hear we've at least got him for another couple of years. The next one is where we will struggle to keep him."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

The Chad! I did become increasingly confident that he would sign for two years to take him to free agency.....now hopefully for even longer after that. Time will tell.
The Swans secured the highly sought-after signature of the All-Australian midfielder, who turned down significant interest from rival clubs.
Now it's time to fire up Chad!Comment

In the last 2 seasons we have defied most media pundits in re-signing all our key players and maintaining our talented list. This point wasn’t lost on Chad yesterday..
With Chad now out of the way, i imagine our List Managers focus will now be to work out how we can match bids for touted Academy trio King, Chamberlain and Carmichael under the new rules, as it will be challenging depending on our hand and where the bids land.
As a result, i don't see us in a position to recruit anyone of significance, even a FA, as we may not have the cap space.
