LRT - was found out today - skills let him down.

LB - needs help when the bodies are bigger

Both need a bigger defender to provide support

Either a BH or AG clone would do

Whom would you offer from the GF?

I would allow Jude Bolton to go.
      Possibly ROK.

should consider jude. rok is too good and too versatile for mine.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

I would be Ok with Jude Bolton or Mathews providing we can get an attacking midfielder and a bigger key defender.

I think Matthews is definite tradebait.

            Not Jude. Not ROK.

I do think we need to look for a fullback, and move leo off to pocket. I think he has lost a bit of pace this year - which he needs to compensate for his height.
I will be a member again when I return.

Ken McGregor from Adelaide. 26 next birthday, out of favour, 80 odd games, can play. Get him as a tall defender and teach him our way. All he needs is a good haircut.

                Isn't McGregor primarily a Fwd?

Could look at three way trade:

                Spida to Adelaide

Player(s)/ pick to Hawks ( would have to be youngster as they have a youth policy)

McGregor to Bloods as long as he is a defender

I don't think anyone would pick Chambers - not even Carlton.

Dean Solomon from Essendon. Tough, uncompromising, hard at it defender who carries the ball. He's not happy with what they're offering and could be exiting the club. However, we'd have to give up someone they want, possibly Jarrad McVeigh, and I'm not for that.

Two problems. Slow and over the hill by a long way.

Dinasour in the modern game. Slow half back flanker. No thanks.

some people whom we might trade for or just pick up...

                          Ashley Sampi ( midfield?)
                          Kris Tarrant (forward)
                          Michael Gardiner (forward/ruck)
Akermanis (a young Aker is exactly what we need in the midfield. Too bad he is already 29)
Des Headland (any chance of Freo trading him?)
Ken McGregor (agree he will be a great defensive addition for us)

people whom I won't mind trading away from Swans:
Leo Barry (29, getting slow and lack of size)
LRT (used to have high regard of this guy, but his skill lvl is shocking and he is no longer a rookie)
Jared Crouch (one of the swans' favourites, but he is no star and a bit undersized)

                          ======
btw, I thought Fosdike played quite well and he is one of the more athletic swans. I would like to see him start in midfield (instead of bench) next year

We should trade for Everitt and/or Tarrant and/or Polak. We will have to trade draft picks and use Willoughby or Schmidt as bait. Matthews is too old and Crouch will be our best recruit next season. Leo Barry will not be drafted.

Not Tarrant. Goes missing when the pies need him the most.

How about trading for draft picks? It couldn't possibly hurt could it?

I mean would someone like a Matthews be worth a 1st round draft pick?

I'm not suggesting a clean out, but what about in the likes of O'Loughlin, Vogels, Bevan and Spriggs onto the trade table to see their worth.

Would love to draft in a top 10 draft pick player. I know its a 50/50, but you could end up with someone that is very servicable.
