The Doggies need some experience in the ruck and Hudson won't cost them too much at the trade table. And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .Comment

And 29 isn't exactly old for a ruckman. The word 'prime' comes to mind. And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .Comment

C'mon you know how it works. If the Swans pick up a 34 year old ruckman like Spida it's ingenious recruiting but any other club does it and they're a has been and too old.
Chris Judd is an old, injury prone hack but Adam Goodes is a gun who never plays a bad game.
Every other player up for trade is either too slow, can't kick, can't hit targets etc but the likes of Jude Bolton, Amon etc are all guns and never miss a target.
Bevan and Jolly are worth 1st round picks etc..."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

Yeah ok let's go for another old ruckman like Hudson instead of a young key positioned player like Matthew Maguire. I know who I'll go for and that's Maguire anyday over an older player.Comment

I was talking about Hudson moving to the Bulldogs and why would they want him. Unless the threads have been merged again?Post 165 is where it all started.

Yes, they need both a KPP and an experienced ruckman but Hudson will cost them a lot less than Goose. In an ideal world they'll end up with both.
Perhaps a better question for you is 'Why wouldn't they want Hudson'?And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .Comment

There has been no suggestion that the Bulldogs are looking at Maguire.
Why conflate the two separate suggestions.
The link to the Swans was that if the Bulldogs picked up Hudson, they wouldn't want Jolly as well. Nothing to do with Maguire, so why did you compare them?
The Bulldogs might want Hudson to give them an experienced ruckman to go with their young ruckmen and they might get him cheap.
I'm sorry for even suggesting we should go for Maguire. He's a dud according to you right?
The Bulldogs are better off picking up a younger player in the National Draft, have you thought about that suggestion?Comment

Again, do you not think they are deficient in the ruck? And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .Comment
