I'm with Old Royboy on this one...Vogels is done, Mattner is a very good pickup, Schneider was incapable of running out a game anywhere near the midfield and was too erratic with his only talent, goalkicking. Dempster was done as soon as Mattner signed, Playfair will be handy esp as he cost bugger all and 11 and 26 may well bring good value! Oh, and salary relief was obviously a factor as well.

Put it this way, Brisbane traded their pick 14 for Travis Johnstone. That easily could have been our pick 11 for Johnstone, thank god we didn't pick up Johnstone.

There's a lot of negative sentiment on here. Sure, I'm sad to see these players go, in fact Schneider was one of my 2 favourite players, but it's not as if the coaching staff/match committee/recruiters don't know what they're doing.

In all likelihood they have more idea than any of us. Now there's a thought!
