Roos' wife didn't answer a media question..he said he'd spoken to her on the bloody phone for god's sake..and using the comments of a third party to get a message across is normal coach speak,,has been for years..saves a huge fine. Roos ain't stupid!

The interchange Stewards do more than that. About ten years ago against Richmond Micky Oh! failed to exit the field via the gate, the interchange stewards ruled him out of the game

Yep. I looked at the rules last night, and I can't remember everything they do, but essentially they record all the interchanges and make sure everyone enters and exits through the interchange gates.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Well, why they are there policing that everybody exits/enters via the 'gates', perhaps they should have some power to not allow a player to 'enter' until a player 'exits'.
As I said, pretty simple.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

From memory, it was against Richmond. Earlier in the game David Bourke (?) came off outside the 'gates' and was called, perhaps by the Swans?, and was not allowed back on.
Bugger me dead if MOL did exactly the same thing later in the match.

Wrong, Jessie White was the 19th man and had no hand in the goal.
The Swans have stated that they called Jolly off because when they realised they had an extra man on the field he was closest to the interchange bench.
Even though the interchange thru the game was Jolly off/White on, I think with less than 90 secs on the clock it is no given that Jolly was meant to come off, he was hardly being rested at that stage.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

Which is interesting because Jolly was registered with the interchange steward as coming off and 30 seconds late is credited with a possession (according to Champion Data).Wrong, Jessie White was the 19th man and had no hand in the goal.

I guess it will all come out in the wash when the AFL finish their investigation, but I have a sneaking suspicion that White stuffed up and went on in a confused error. Perhaps the interchange steward saw White go on and assumed Jolly had come off and he missed it.
All very murky, but my god, isn't SEN having fun sinking the boot into the Swans.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment
