Warhol never would have done something so artistic and talented as write a book on football... Just some crappy artwork achieving worldwide fame, still...

By a long stretch, Bevo is not the worst player at the Swans. I'm quite confident the worst player at Driver Avenue hasn't even played a game for us yet...

now its done and over with id like to see paul roos actually say it how it is and share with us what davis did that saw him dropped after 1 game this year, when he was a lot better than most of the team.

why davis is delisted and no one else is and why he others like goodes (who could also be accused of hanging back at times and looking lazy) fosdike (also struggled to play any senior games) and the others with half the skills of davo arent held accountable.

I would like to know what was expected of davis given statisically he compares well to most small forwards in the comp and also compares quite well to magic, who has never been dropped or made a scapegoat.

Im not saying davis didnt deserve to go i would like just like the truth because right now all i see is a hypocracy from the club and i can only presume roos wanted davis gone more than any other player at the club.

How can we delist a goal kicking option when we struggle to score as it is

id fix the spelling but bugger it
Theres not much left to say

The truth of the whole Davis thing is that responsibility for his downfall at the Swans lies with both parties. The coaching staff could not get the best out Davis so they must take responsibility for that. Similarly Davis must take responsibility for his own failure.

I'm having a wild guess, but I think Roosie had $100 on the Cats to win the 2005 semi at $4 to 1...so I think Roosie reckons Davo owes him $500, and on his way in from the Shire to cough up, he passed a considerable numbr of KFC outlets...and, lets face it, who can resist a family bucket or two of the good Colonel's delicious original recipe fried chicken with its 11 herbs and spices...

Virtually the only bloke who tried to win the game against St.Kilda in round 1. No-one else took the game on.

He doesn't work as hard as most others. Who cares? The hard working hacks (such as Ablett) can't turn games and kick crucial goals consistently.
Footy clubs need all types - sadly, we have too many of the one type.
P46 I would like to take you to task with the outragious suggestion that Ablett is a hard working hack. You didn't go far enough. He is not hard working at all, is slow, can't kick, gets caught all the time and finds that one thing essential to a footballer very hard indeed; the ability to find the footy.

The best he could do all season was a very bad ad.

Like many, I'm disappointed to see a talented player leave our side. But I guess it's a sign of the times that talent alone isn't enough to guarantee you a spot on an AFL list anymore, rightly or wrongly.

Nick will probably go down in history as the player that gave us the opportunity to win a premiership in 2005. I wish him all the best, and hope to sit back and grab some popcorn to watch the battles between the pro- and anti-Davis brigades that will no doubt be fought on RWO in the years to come

Like most others who aren't actually part of the club i am mystified as to the whole breakdown in the davis swans relationship.

But as an outsider i take the view that he was amongst the most harshly treated of the swans because there often appeared to be double standards in is treatment.

in relation to those who say the geelong game was his only moment of magic i would invite you to get the tapes of his games where he would regularly take marks on 50 and kick the goal - but also have a look at his tackling and pressure that he put on in 2005 game against west coast.

as an outsider until someone really tells what happens it is all a mystery.

but then i know that roos in 2005 told schauble he wouldn't get a game and that lrt would have his spot in the seniors halfway through the year. so i suspect roos has told davis he was on his way out quite some time ago.

Message to the club - keep Nick Davis. He is a talented skillful footballer.

If you delist him, this will rank alongside other really bad decisions of the club, like trading Adam Schneider.
Paul Roos, if he is going to be delisted, at least tell us why. (still unsure why Shneider was) As members, I think we deserve to know the real reason.

Nick, no matter what, we as the club members will always remember & be indebted to you for your part in the 2005 premiership. You are part of this club's history & I applaud you.
You are welcome at my house anytime!!!
2005 will live forever (or until we win another premiership)
