Paul Roos, if he is going to be delisted, at least tell us why. (still unsure why Shneider was) As members, I think we deserve to know the real reason.

Nick, no matter what, we as the club members will always remember & be indebted to you for your part in the 2005 premiership. You are part of this club's history & I applaud you.
You are welcome at my house anytime!!!
Schneider was traded to give someone like Moore ago and further in the year Vespa.

If Schneider had remained on our list and played it would have been highly doubtful whether either one of them would have got significant game time this year.

One would suggest that with Davis now offically gone Vespa has his spot as a medium sized goal kicking forward to make it his own.

Schneider & Davis vs Moore & Vespa.................

I like the look of the second pairing.

That 15mins in 2005 was the most amazing exciting footy I can recall. If achievement is what we are talking about - that's a pretty big achievement. If we are lamenting that Nick did not realising his full potential, that's just the way it often goes - also in football. Best wishes Nick.

Not Roosey's style to bag a departing player. Against Geelong this season when he stops running and puts his head down and hands on knees should give you a clue. Unprofessional and unwilling.

Really hope someone throws him a lifeline in the PSD, even though it may have been far and few in between, i really loved seeing him when he was on fire.

Roos just bags them publicly while they are there, every night on the Teve - then Kirk has a go and so on - yet Davis had no right of reply just for saying the word "scapegoat".
I hope that Nick does well wherever he goes, he is still the person who turned our fortunes around in the 2005 season, for that alone I am truly grateful.

Its pretty obvious that Roos hasnt liked Davis for some time, and it was only a matter of time until he was going to be turfed out. Its a sad day.

So to Connolly, who still is convinced that Bevo is going to save the world, once Bevo saves a final off his own boot, then he might be considered in the same class as Davis - until then, he's just another player.

Superbly said, Plugger. I'm very disappointed. Clearly it was the wrong tactic to scapegoat and humiliate this player (it would have worked with someone like me, though) can't believe they couldn't work out the correct way to handle him.

Or, even, in the end, let him not work as hard, as long as his personal criteria were met....any Bloods who complained could be told "when you have his skills you can have his work ethic".....Malthouse could have been right when he refused to punish his senior players and admitted that there was a double standard (Johnson and tarrant that was).

If I were another club, I would set him a target......

                      By Dec 6 if you

                      (1) Can do the Beep test in .....
                      (2) Run the 3km in .....
                      (3) Do the repeat sprint in .....
                      (4) Agree to keep this level of aerobic fitness....

                      then we will draft you.

Still don't think Roosey played him in the centre properly - that would have fixed his " 2nd effort not getting the ball enough" problems (IMHO)

And lets not forget how many times did we see Davis in a huge space waving his arms and he be ignored, yet if there was anyone who could slot a goal it was him. It has been intimated that he let his team down - yet I think that his team let him down on many occassions and bypassed him to go to a contest (which 9 times out of 10 resulted in a turn over) - there are faults on all sides here, but I reckon the Swans are mad to let him go. Its seems as long as you dont have flair, abide by the "blood brothers"fraternity rubbish, and Roos can ad a "y" to the end of your surname you will do ok.;-)

I'm a little dissapointed he's gawn but thanks for the memories Davo.

In the end he just didnt tow the team line so he had to go.

Stell are you wearing black for the mourning period?

Davo also didnt pass the Roos"you are all to be like me" test - Davo's hair was far too curly for a start!

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

If there is someone clever enough to put up the article in todays SMH on Nick that would be good - a balanced article, he blames himself in most instances, but the club isnt totally blameless here either. I consider there must be some dickheads making decisions at the club, even though there is supposed to be a "no dickheads" rule. I mean they picked up Shaw!!!
